This Qualtex part will do the job for you – f/p 06 (fp06). Comes with fitting instructions.

Re: Fridge motor runs continually
Being a larder fridge the system runs by bringing the temperature down to what ever you have set it at – lets say +2C and then switching off and carrying out a defrost. Then restarting and so the cycle continues. If however the appliance is short of refrigerant or the compressor is failing the unit will never reach its required temperature and will run continuously causing frosting to the back. Whilst you may have a faulty thermostat, the most likely faults are the aforementioned. You really need a fridge engineer out to take a look 🙁

I take it on the compressor? If so what make and model of compressor as there were various fitted to it?

Seems they don’t do domestic appliances nearest I can get is electricians that do air conditioning of which there are 674 in my area – yer right :rolls:

First off you dont need to have any qualification to work on R600a systems and that includes system work. Secondly, if you have time, come to the February meeting and look me or any of the other WTA guys up. There will be something to interest you.
