Can you let us have the serial number which will then allow us to see who the manufacturer is

Try the motor this is the favourite – everything looks fine but can infact be faulty only other course is to check the wiring loom between module and motor

    Re: D&G

Dont know whether this should be D&G or Comet but about 18 months ago we scrapped an old Servis washer and Comet replaced it with one of their own brand Teknolecs – went out to it last week and was told by D&G to get the parts from Comet. You can guess where that went but customer is getting a new machine today. Nice little fix that one. Dont you just love em 8)

    John,

Have changed any amount of these which seem to go for no apparent reason. Fit the 20 inch ones as you,ll see they just zip tie them up with twist and bends on the initial installation I tend to zip the fuze bit just passed the securing clip.

OK if you order a Ranco VX0 thermostat from this sites shop that will do the job.

Either evaportator frozen up (likely) in which case you will probably need thermistors if available or short of gas (unlikely)

Does the sensing tube (looks like a bit of wire attached to the switch) go into a tube or is it fixed to the side/back of the cooling plate?

I would suggest your appliance is short of refrigerant, you will need a refrigeration engineer our to look at it.

Re: after 30 years it just had to happen

Just remember Peter that it is the responsibility of the other side to prove negligence on your part. Since when has a builder been a competent person to pass judgement on appliances. Secondly, whilst you may concede that the problem may have been the fault of the outlet hose it doesn’t mean that it was your engineers fault. It may have been a faulty hose which then takes it back to BSH. The fact that it is nearly a year since installation also casts a cloud over who is responsible – as Tim says whos to say that the customer didnt move it and damage something. Id find a local solicitor and get a free half hour consultation (most do it thes days) and get their opinion or go to CAB. I think they are trying it on – most of them do. How do I know – my daughters a solicitor. lol

    Re: AWCT10L Wiring Loom Fault

These motor plugs have a habit of coming out whilst in use giving this fault. Always pays to zip-tie them in – sofar I’ve only had them on the square motor not the round one.

If you lot can hang on I’m trying to do a deal where small groups of engineers can get the 2079 by doing a day and a half course – this would be a friday and saturday morning gig.

    Re: F gas Certification

None at this time unless you were working on R134a systems as the vast majority of domestic appliances use R600a which is not covered by the F Gas regulations.
