Re: Getting your hands on WEE

    Without too much jargon –

If you supply new appliances and unless your customer wants to keep the old one you are required to take away for disposal the old one.

If you take away the old one (there are exceptions here) you have to have a WEEE disposal route in place.

If you are taking WEEE away you have to be registered as a WEEE producer.

Also be aware that we have controlled WEEE and Hazardous WEEE both of which go down different routes.

If you want more detailed questions answered give me a call. The above is the very basic system without falling into the bunkers 8)

Re: Getting your hands on WEE

Yes been running a WEEE operation for 18 months now with two local superstores. Sadly, you have to try and get across to most retailers that they are breaking the law if they just take the appliances down to the local scrap man. Most are just burying there heads in the sand and hoping the environment agency don’t come calling. It is one of those where until the government gets its house in order, its all smoke and mirrors. Not sure how it operates in Eire but here in the UK you have to have a licence to refurbish WEEE.

I have no idea what the lever issue is as these are obviously in the door. Standard evaporator cover kit is DA97-05290Q

If the temperature of the motor (compressor) is hot to the hand (be careful) then there is every chance that you have lost, as you surmise, the refrigerant or have a blockage in the refrigeration circuit or at worst have a duff compressor.

You will need to check the following, according to the Servis software the serial number equates to a white machine although you have indicated that it is silver. Obviously if it is silver the cosmetic parts will be wrong.

    Re: Blomberg 1501AAA

Two questions – does the pump drain the water away? Secondly, with no washing in the drum does it spin?

If the water is not draining then you have a blockage or the pump is faulty. If it spins with no load then you should be looking at the motor area.
