    Re: Recommendations please – Miele/Siemens/Bosch?

As my friend Chris says the ISE Pro will be available soon, weeks not months. It’d be worth the mopping 😆

I note that you say you are able to wait awhile to get the right machine – with this in mind I would suggest you wait for the ISE = the appliances (washer and dishwasher) are of Swedish manufacturer (quality) their components are rated for 15 years of use (with a average lifespan of 21.7 years) and we already have a service network in place to both look after the service and handle the spares. On the subject of the dryer, this is also on the blocks and will probably be available shortly. I would not recommend a condensor dryer, the standard vented dryer is much, much more efficient. As you have noted your washer dryer was found to be lacking in the drying area (washer dryers use a condensing dryer system)

If your struggling I can let you have a spider for this item – we bought some in before they made the tub and spider a one piece.

I appreciate the work sofar but would it be possible to put it back to the week before the 1st Dec rather than the week after. We, I guess, like many are busy running up to Christmas.

Re: SCANDINOVA FREEZER NOT REACHING CORRECT TEMPERATURE

If the compressor is very hot and it is running most/or all of the time I would suggest you are short of refrigerant – suggest you get a fridge engineer in – perhaps at ‘repairs@’ to your left

Re: MFI fridge freezer problem help

Right lets take it a step further – The appliance is made by Antonio Merloni (an Italian Company) for MFI. It works in the following manner – there is no cooling in the fridge area, air is ducted from the freezer compartment into the fridge using a forced cold air system. In your earlier post you indicated that the fridge was OK, in the latter one you ask why the fridge seems warm. Assuming there is a temperature problem (both areas) I would suggest in the first instant you empty the appliance and leave the doors open for 48 hours to allow the internal ducting and the cooling coil (evaporator) to defrost. After this delay (don’t think leaving it for 8 hours will work it won’t) switch the unit on, set the temperature correctly and see what happens. If that doesn’t cure it then post again and I’ll take you further.

Re: MFI fridge freezer problem help

This appliance has a ability to set the freezer temperature between -18C to -24C. The ‘H’ in the display is just indicating that the actual freezer temperature is above this – Hope that helps, if you need an instruction manual I will require the serial number as there are two versions of this model.

Always worth a go but be aware that you have to take the tub out to carry out the repair. Power off please.

For us its the margins – With new machines available from Tesco @£100 then in this area second-hand will at best reach £85. I appreciate that the customer gets sold in general a better machine but when costing out their budget they look at the cheapest appliance not the most expensive. Then lets take the parts and the amount of time taken to fix and install it. Roll it all together and if you make thirty quid you have done well. Hardly worth the bother.

Speak to John Hopwood but briefly if you sell appliances you have a duty to take back and dispose of the appliance that you are replacing unless the customer indicates in writing that they wish to keep the old one (this can be just a tick in a delivery note box)
