Assuming second one flashes and fifth is constant you have a safety water level fault. Suggest you get engineer see repairs@

Before you go any further check the following: most manufacturers guarantee their products for two years in a new build. If so get them to sort it out. If this is a no go you are likely to have a problem with either a refrigerant shortage or a duff compresor.

Try repairs at to the left which will give you a selection to choose from. All have signed up to a quality of service charter. Sounds like you are short of refrigerant or have a duff compressor. If you need ask for a verbal estimate before they come

Works for me as long as you allow ventilation around the cooker

Re: Hotpoint 8129 larder fridge – auto defrost not working

These fridges are generally very reliable but with one achilles heal ‘the thermostat’ – If you feel up to the job I would suggest you ‘take a chance’ buy one from shop@ (left sidebar) and have a go. Its much cheaper that Hotpoint and what have you to lose. :zap: Power off first please

Oh don’t you just love fashion – backing up Jims story – I’ve just had a classic, customer with a green machine, extended warranty with a limit of £125. Unfortunately, the machine is beyond economical repair as far as the insurer is concerned and they scrap the machine. Now this customers kitchen is all green. Green fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster need I go on. The manufacturer no longer makes a green machine and the insurer only supplies replacements in white. Fashion don’t you just love it!

Need the model and serial number to be accurate but – I would suggest you have a lack of refrigerant or and duff compressor.

If you can hang on I may have one of these tucked away from my Indesit days. Have you got a photo of the old one??

Yes – we have one which we use out in the wilds. It also doesn’t show a correct reading on the Martindale. A big earth spike I think

Please list the PNC number that is on the same label as the serial number and we’ll see what comes up.
