Chris – Are you struggling for room or could you get away with a three phase and loop it through each switch??

Gentlemen – perhaps now is the time to close this debate it is starting to get nasty. Not in keeping with the asperations of UKW.

Now I realise that this is going to get Ken up in arms but whilst I support the idea of a rewrite to allow exclusivity for UKW I still am of the opinion that many of the people on this forum do very nicely out of the free info that is available. We have already stumped up to improve the server for the masses and like Kirk I also don’t get work through repairs@. I don’t have a problem with this but feel that its about time that those that benefit the most from it should be expected to pay alittle for it. Even if you put the subs first on the listing, those that aren’t subin surely wouldn’t mind putting in, say a quid a job. When you think NESN has a management fee of £9 and GBDAR probably £15 its a bargain.

Perhaps if despite those above, you are still not convinced you could consider this recent event. Took my van in for repair last week – extensive brake overhaul. I was charged six hours labour in a local independent garage (small village type) £35 per hour = £210 + vat. I took the van in, the parts were delivered to him by a motor factor, he did the work on site and I collected from him. He still had two hours left to work that day and he hadn’t moved from the garage floor. We on the other hand have to go to the customers home, repair the machine, (sometimes two visits) and then on to the next. We stand the cost of transport and the time travelling between jobs and you would want to do that for less than £20? Look out the contract calculator it will scare you half to death. Before you ask yes I used to work for them too

Perhaps one could consider whether you are better doing 10 jobs a day for an average of £20 at 80+{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} or doing 8+ jobs a day at £45 with a 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. (allowing for the mix of manufacturers) The maths seem to indicate that the latter is more buck in your pocket.

This one has a ntc thermistor and a 85c resettable stat. Ntc is used as operating stat 85c as safety cutout.

ModeratorRe: Diplomat APM8552 Drain Pump
First the bad news you have to remove the washing machine from its kitchen unit and then remove the appliance back, this then gives you access to the pump.
Power off first :plug:Dales-Electronic

Sorry there are two motors supplied with this machine depending on serial number – guess that would explain the two modules.

ModeratorRe: SERVIS M9409
Is this a private job or an agency job? If its an agency job go tooled up with both a module and motor (brushes are not available from Servis) if its a private job go with brushes sourced elsewhere and a module. Motor part number 512005700, Module two available 546013200 and 546023400. It might pay you to have a heater too as these sometimes won’t spin if the heater is o/c

Usually Hinari is a branded Haier chinese built. Its a copy of an Italian dishwasher made by Indesit but not as good.

ModeratorRe: Samsung RL36 – Fridge not cold / Freezer too cold
+1C is fine for the fridge (you don’t want the milk to freeze) and -17c is not the highest (if you mean warmest) you are working in negative figures from 0c – therefore -25c is a colder setting that -17c. You could therefore set the freezer at -18c which is around the norm for most freezers.
