Re: servis serial number
Cabinet damage is an automatic exchange point for Servis machines if within the first 28 days. Obviously, if outside this 28 day period Servis would not entertain the claim. If you have the serial number that will give the week of manufacturer and thereby the sale date to within a couple of weeks. If you post the serial I can check with servis to see if they have any history.

Just before we go further with this please check your temperatures again – on a domestic refrigeration system, such as yours, the temperatures allowed are Fridge area anywhere between 1 – 8C this means the fridge is OK, in the freezer area the temperature should be greater than -15C ie -15, -16C, -17C etc at -17 thats OK too. Kindly note that if you have been given the following temps (fridge 1-5C and freezer -18 to -20C) to work with these only apply to commercial refrigeration.

Just to confuse the issue this machine is manufacturered by Antonio Merloni for MFI? . To totally confuse, the diagram shows the freezer with a conventional stat which is not listed in the parts list but what is listed is an electronic module part number 546039400. I guess its a look and see and take it from there

Am familiar with this one – Agree totally with Roly16 – The fridge stat, at the top of the fridge is of the mechanical type, take off the cover its only a clip fit and see if you have a gap around the small rectangular flap if so then the fridge stat is ok. Now in the freezer compartment, take of the back cover and see what you find – probably lots of ice. Defrost the lot off and make sure that the supply and return pipes to the fridge are clear. Once you can see what you are doing test out the components.

When you first start the appliance up check that it initially pumps water down the drain – if it doesnt you have a pump problem and will probably need an engineer

Not wishing to teach granny to suck eggs – are you sure you have the twist the correct way around. From experience, if you have it the wrong way around the belt comes off, if the correct way it doesn’t

Could you please give us the product code or pnc number (starts 928…….) as there are five versions of this model, whilst similar they are not the same
