    Update,

Cleared out the tube which was pretty clean anyway and I took off the water matrix on the side and cleared a bit of gunge from the top. the machine in general is immaculate inside and out but it’s still pumping constantly at the end of the programmes, only sometimes though…..

    Water level Probs?
    Board Probs?
    Anyone?

    Re: belling idw604 no heat

If I remember right, there’s a little water pressure micro switch which gives trouble and prevents heat, you’ll find it by tracing the pink wire from the element. Bypass this first and try it again for the heating problem.

is it working apart from the heating issue?

Also, why did they change the cap?

I also have a manual for this if you want to give me your e-mail, but I won’t be able to send it til this eve.

The heaters on these go all the time, it’s a banana shaped heater one on the inside of the machine, a quick change with the side off. HTR76 is the number in my local Qualtex supplier.

I didn’t to be honest, I thought the dreaded pulsing action was definitive.
He’s away for a couple of days though and I have a key so I’ll give it a go before a final call,

    Cheers

Managed eventually to reset it and put it on a wash, not 1 minute in it does that dreaded pulsing action.
Time for the bin me thinks,

    Cheers for the help

I assume this means the safety pressure switch? (fault code guide)

    Re: Smeg DWI612C

Just actually arrived here and I’m reading your post. It just has two beeps and a gap, constantly, and will do nothing. it apparently went like this when he had a power out in the house due to his iron tripping the cb.
At the moment I can’t get it to reset and it’s bone dry in the base.
    I’ll keep playing with it.

    Re: Smeg DWI612C

Not sure as I’ve not gone to it yet.
I was with this customer in Jan and it I remember right, it was showing symptoms of having had the flood protection activated however there was littl evidence of a leak. I managed to find a reset procedure online and after several attempts I got it to reset and it’s worked since.
Now he tells me that it’s been ‘acting weird’ for a while and now it’s just beeping when it’s turned. Dont know how many beeps so not sure what the code is.
I was hoping to try and put it into dignistixs mode and maybe read an alarm or do a self test as last time I just repeatedly tried a reset til it worked! Not ideal now that I’m going back. Is there common faults on these?
I think i remember finding stuff before but I don’t seem to have the hang of using the new search function as well is I used to.

    Any help/pointers would be great

    Cheers kieth

    Re: Bosch WFO4266GB/07

Had a look this eve and the display does indeed show two upside down A’s with a gap between them (or two 8s with their tops missing i suppose) and it would do nothing.
Took the board out and the bottom of three relays had the solder and part of two legs blown and a number of different tracks on it were disintegrated/missing/blown spreading from the corner where the relay is across to the middle if the board.
Even if he was mad enough to want to buy a new board (€200+) I don’t think I’d risk putting it in as I’m not sure what could have done this and I’d hate to fry a new one!
Guess what, he’s buying a new machine!

    Re: Whirlpool ADP4500

Yeah it’s an odd one, I checked pretty much everything out bar the board, and it’s as clean as can be so maybe a new PCB or a write off is on the cards.

    Cheers John
