Good call, should have thought of that. It’ll be the first thing I check.

    Thanks a mil Paul,

Do I need the broken bits off the old shelf bearings for any of these repair options or do they come with all that is needed as the old bearings are gone gone.
And if they both come with everything, would you recommend one over the other?

    Cheers

Cool, I’m told it’s new and in box so I think I might go for it.

    Re: IDW450

    Anyone any idea bout this,

The above problem I couldn’t get sorted as I had ordered a board and twice I got the wrong one and the customer got bored waiting and bought a new m/c.

However i now have the same problem. It leaked into the base and now, with the base cleaned out, it does nothing other than turn on. I can’t get it into diagnostics mode and the programme button does nothing.

    any ideas?

    Cheers

    Re: AWM 1003-5

He lives in a not too remote part of north west Ireland, but thats the quote he’s getting…Maybr it’s whirlpool themselves quoting, I’m not sure…
I’d told him to check most of those things, and he will when he gets home at the weekend.
Is the diagnostics easily accessible on this, is there a way to read the alarm codes?
I’d be surprised myself if its not the obvious but just thought I’d double check.

    Cheers

I told him to do that before I call out and it made no difference so looks like I have another problem.
    I’ll find out tomorrow, cheers.

    Re: ZWF1221w

Cheers for all the input guys, customer is happy using it away as it still works manually, whether it’s the motor or the board I’m not sure as everything checks out, it even goes thru a full diagnostic check with zero problems!
What was bugging me is the fact that the machine is acting exactly as it would if it was in ‘rinse hold’ mode. I thought the spin control dial was faulty but it seems ok and it seems to control the spin speed.
I’m a bit lost and I hate not knowing for sure but hey ho…
    Customer is happyish..

    Thanks again all

    Re: ZWF1221w

    Martin,
There’s nothing blocked up as I removed sump hose and air hose when clearing the pump during the first call and I didn’t stick in a pump as it pumps everytime I select it but it wont move into drain/spin on its own…

    Re: ZWF1221w

    Another update

Heater good, motor good, carbons good and everything works!
except for its ability to go into a spin on its own…
It’ll wash and do everything but it stops and the ‘end’ light flashes and it will only spin/drain if selected manually. There’s no obvious damage to the board but I assume thats what I’m looking at now…
Anyone any other ideas that I might have missed??

    Cheers
