Re: Diplomat 620 grill element Model AHY****

There are two fixed temperature thermostats, one turns the cooling fan on and the other is the safety thermostat, if the latter had failed the whole oven would be dead not just the grill.

You need to look elsewhere, or better still chek the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂

The capacitor has failed by the sounds of it, if you read this post:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&p=19933

Scroll down to where Ade says “Hello Again !!!?” 😀 that’ll help with identifying and getting the part. Power off when checking please :zap:

If you’re unsure, check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂

The piano is a range and not the model rocker 🙁

The model will begin with “F” 🙂

Re: Indesit C 239 NF (UK). Fridge OK – Freezer not working

As a guide, the PCB is £48 and the defrost heater £36.96, both ex VAT and carriage.

They’ll be the same price wherever to be honest as they are only available from Merloni in the first place.

Sorry, I meant to say it’s branded as New World on Partfinder. Just put the model number in without selecting anything from the drop downs and hit enter 😉

The filter is in the bottom right hand corner of the machine at the front.

You will need to remove the plinth normally to get at it though, generally they are clipped to the unit legs and just pull off but check for screws as well 😉

Re: Whirlpool AKZ451/1X display for grill wrong

From memory, I think these have to be configured by snipping the legs off resistors to match the correct oven they are fitted to as Whirlpool supply a “universal” replacement to cover a few models.

It sounds as if it’s either not been done or the wrong resistor has been taken out of circuit. There should have been a document in with the PCB.

But, this is from memory on similar models and may not be the case for this particular oven.

    Re: ADP 8242 wont stop.

Either the heater, thermostat(s) or the PCB will be at fault by the sound of it.

If you aren’t able to test those yourself then yes, I would recommend an engineer, the repairs@ link below should provide one.

If you decide to look yourself, please ensure the power is off :zap:

Careful, they won’t credit anything not on their CAN list, even if they get it and put it back in to stock, it will show on the credit note as £0.00 😉

Possibly the cold fill valve but more likely is the small holes that spray water in to that compartment are blocked.

Remove the drawer and with an old toothbrush or similar, clean the holes in the roof of the dispenser unit, especially the one’s above where the fabric softener goes 🙂

    Re: Another Hotpoint FDW60 error

    LED’s 2 and 3 indicates a “not filling” error.

Check the fill hose isn’t kinked and that water is reaching the appliance first of all 🙂

    Re: cda 494/1 dishwasher

The lower one is the control PCB which is the one that has failed more than likely, the one behind the facia is the user board.

The price is £102.31 (retail/list) inc VAT from Whirlpool so it should be around £65/£70 trade 😉

Your duplicate post deleted also 🙂

The cold in the freezer 😉

But, they are foamed in on this model and aren’t replaceable.

I would be looking at the defrost heaters to be honest (with the power off :zap:)
