The right hand hob top has to come off first, it slides to the right as you look from the front after removing various screws. Power off when working on please :zap:

Sadly no, Bosch prices are or will be the same wherver you try to be honest.

There are specialist plastic re-coating companies I think but it may well cost as much as a new basket to have that carried out.
