It’s hard to say really as quite a few things could be causing this to be honest.

As it’s a pretty expensive unit and not that old, I would recommend someone having a look to make a proper diagnosis, check the repairs@ link below 🙂

Most can be, EMW do quite a few but without any model number I can’t check.

    Try asking, they are here:

Re: Ariston oven door – hinge locked

The springs on these are extremely strong and given the relatively small part that has to be pulled down the leverage required is pretty large 😯

You need to pull the stub part protruding down then lock it in position with the tab, while at the same time keeping the door flat, not an easy job to be honest but it’s easier with two people.

Please be careful on two fronts, if the hinge “snaps back” without being locked it can take chunk out of anything in it’s path (scars to prove) and the door glass can easily be smashed if it isn’t protected.

    Good luck 😉

It could be a number of things if it’s completely dead (no power/no lights) to be honest.

    Door interlock is possible.

Power off if checking yourself, if you’re unsure it may be best to ask an engineer, the repairs@ link below should provide one 🙂

Yep, that is about right price-wise.

If they are failing that quickly the engineer needs to check for adequate ventilation/correct installation and that the compressor cooling fan motor is running 🙂

Refer to the similar thread and the very last post, give Bryan a call on the number he posted, that’s about the only chance of getting anything in the UK for Teba now apart from the elements 🙂

The problem is your insurers to find an engineer to be honest, not yours.

Why are the previous repair company not prepared to call back ?

If you want to point the insurer to a repairer, check the repairs@ link below, that should find someone 🙂

    Re: Hygena APP 6402 Freezer

I’m afraid it may be terminal or pretty costly. It sounds like the permanent running on fast freeze has damaged the compressor 🙁

It may also have been that it wasn’t working correctly for some time and the previous owners put it on fast freeze to try and make it get down to temperature.

Either way it will need confirming by a refrigeration engineer who can check for gas loss, compressor failure etc.

Try the repairs@ link below 🙂

The latter to be honest, this is an electronically controlled frost free unit which will require the correct test equipment to check the various components.

Check the repairs@ link below for an Independent in your area 🙂
