Re: hotpoint dwf 50 with flashing eco light.

That doesn’t seem to match any error codes i know of 😕

Does the light flah in any sort of sequence or continuously ?

Also, is it draining all the water away when the pump runs ?

    Re: servis zerfridge free

    It could be either really.

More likely is the compressor though, check it for continuity across the pins.

It does not have to be condensing. Given the reliability of this Candy model I do not think I will be happy with another one and given that the same manufacturer also supplies Hoover that rules them out too.

Not normally, they skip to the stop position when an error is detected, usually the tacho magnet has fallen off but as a new motor has been fitted it’s a bit of an odd one 😕

Re: Whirlpool AWZ 121 on off switch??

It’s a start/reset switch, the button remains in until the door is opened 😉

No relays or PCB’s on this model Tony.

The red light coming on is caused by the fact that the motor isn’t running I would imagine.

Re: Blomberg oven not heating up

It will come out through the oven but you may have to remove the oven from the housing to access the fixing screws for the element.

I think we’re talking about two different fan motors here.

Are you refering to the one next to the compressor ?

If so, it should be running all the time (apart from during the defrost cycle).

Re: Blomberg oven not heating up

All I can tell you is that the element is behind the rear panel in the oven, any more than that I will be crossing legal boundries by giving technical information.

If you’re unsure, please check repairs@ and the directories for an engineer, if you decide on having a go, make sure it’s disconnected from the supply 1st :zap:

It looks like an obscure one made for Comet (Scandinova is one of their own brand names).

Spares only from them by the looks of it http://www.cometspares.co.uk unless Bryan knows any different.

Anonymous wrote:Do you know if it would give another error if the drain pump has gone?

Nope afraid not, the machine can only detect that it’s not draining, it’s possible there’s a blockage internally, equally the drain pump could be the culprit.

Maybe time for an engineer ? Check repairs@ and the directories 😉
