I would then cast some doubt on the suitability of the coil fitted.
There is as far as I know no manufacturer that will supply only the solenoid coil for the valves, only the whole valve assembly (LG certainly don’t). It is fairly common practice though to just pull the coils off and replace them indiviually on many appliances, but, considering this is a totally electronically controlled appliance the valve coil voltage and resistance will be fairly critical.
It may be worthwhile replacing the whole valve first, then the pressure switch, if both of these fail then the main control pcb will be at fault.
It may be though that the pcb is already faulty, caused by the old solenoid coil.

Henwoo.
These are the door hinge runners and are £4.46 each inc VAT, plus postage.
If you would like me to order them, please email me directly. Please check they are both identical as it only shows one on the diagram , they normally are though.

I’ve tried switching the cables over from valve to valve but it makes no difference. Any ideas?
One thing which I haven’t mentioned is that the machine did recently have a faulty coil which was replaced. Could this have any bearing on my current problem?Does the valve start filling immedietly the machine is powered up ?
Which coil was replaced ?

Dave,
I have come across a Leibherr Service Bulletin that might help you. I will send it as an attachment to an email as it is in pdf format and quite large. Thanks Richard, that will be very helpful for future reference.
Maybe I could put it in the downloads section of the site as well, or will it be a copyright problem ?

ParticipantRe: Diplomat 8702 Washer Dryer
It may sound obvious and you may already know about it, but as you haven’t mentioned it, is the 1/2 load button pushed in ? It needs to be for the dryer to operate.
I know we have recieved many service requests from customers who have moved in to a house with an MFI kitchen where the previous owners have not left the user manuals behind and many people do not know that on these Merloni manufactured washer/dryers the dryer will not work unless the half load option button is selected.
Just a thought, if that isn’t the problem let us know please.

By repairing Servis you are ! 😥 Just the other brother and a different factory.
Please don’t take this the wrong way as I am not questioning you’re judgement, but, it is almost certainly (99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}) the knob has been turned anti-clockwise by the customer, and I know it looks and feels like it is in the right position, but it won’t be. You need to stop the timer itself from rotating and turn the knob a bit more, it will then engage and be in the correct position.
I have in the past ordered timers/knobs/cams etc for these clones whether badged, Servis, Whirlpool and Hygena, it’s always the same problem, no parts required.

So my question is, what did the calibration company do for the £65 (I think) charge? Not a lot by the sound of it, TBH I have often wondered about the validity of calibration, considering if you drop the damn thing, which we have all done, any calibration test would be a waste of the expensive piece of A4 it is printed on 😯
But, safety test equipment does of course have to achieve a certain level of accuracy otherwise what is the point of using it.

ParticipantRe: How do I go about getting prices/spares instantly?
Instant price and availability is really only gained (if you mean software wise) via Connect and Washvac as they are the only two as far as I know that have the capability to do this with their own IT stuff.
As Martin said both of these are in the weblinks section of the site, Connect supply their “Connections” DVD free of sharge to account holders, Washvac use a system called “Stocklink” which I believe they still make a charge for (which is why I refuse to use it ;)) But, they do have a website ordering system that will give you “live” information as well.

AGP wrote:If anyone out there can answer this, here is just a quick question; Did Bernsteins go skint due to selling machines at a good price to customers and also paying us a reasonable rate to go out and repair the appliances when they went wrong?
No idea AGP, I do not know the rate paid to agents for repairs as I have never done any work for them, suffice to say, selling a built in single oven, a hob and a hood for £200 as a package may well speak for itself eh ?

I can’t remember the element from this model off hand, is it a “normal” element as opposed to a quartz glass type one ?
If it is, can you do a diagram and dimensions as I have a couple of those types here, but I have no idea what they fit, no identification on them 🙁
If you email me the drawing or photo, I’ll have a look, you never know 😀

Maddocks are actually very cheap for the likes of Bosch and Miele spares, same part from the same factory in a different box, especially pumps and door seals.
