Re: Hotpoint WF250 leaking at bearing seal

the bearing comes in a kit with the seal and you change it all
some of these come with a seal drum which cannot have new bearings fitted although not sure about yours
you should be able to get the bearings from this site somewhere

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

i was just reading this thread when my phone rang and i had to put it on here
lady informs me that her hotpoint wm31 is blowing the fuses
but only on the final spin
she then informs me that one of my engineers only fitted a motor 4 months ago
she then says that it has been blowing these fuses ever since

so this lady expects me to believe that we fit a motor 4 months ago and charged her and that it has never completed a wash since and she is only just ringing me today
i offered to go out monday
she then queries can you not come out any sooner!!!!!!
i want an idiot button on my phone thats cuts these people off and forwards them on to a different firm let them deal with her

Just in case anyone has a similar fault i went out to a wma60 no spin no rotation at all i had a spare board still no good wasnt until i was just about to give in that i selected a spin cycle and the machine which was a 1400 showed spin speeds of up to 1600
all it needed was reconfiguring to the right setting
dont know how it happened maybe youngs ones playing with the buttons

    Re: Zanussi FJ1093 Ineffective Spin

IF the filter is clear then start the machine up on a rinse with no clothing in once it is full stop the machine and put it onto a drain or spin program the drum should be totally empty in less than a minute if it is not then your machine has a blockage somwhere restricting the water.
so when you spin a second time it has more time to drain away water and spin correctly.

Re: not sure about black spots (bosch washer)

very doubtful that its going to be bearings most likely mould few hot washes with soda crystals and regular maintenance washes should sort you out

    serivis boards are notoriously unreliable
i have had some joy at repairing them but emw is probably your best bet

that is assuming it is servis
