ModeratorRe: UK Whitegoods Meeting 5
It seems to me that UKW is coming of age, when not only is it being recognised by its hundreds of trade members and thousands upon thousands of public enquirers.
We now have trade suppliers and manufacturers who are willing to openly display their support for our community, who before UKW came along, were generally regarded as the forgoten side of the trade.I feel sure that their willingness to show that level of support for both our site and national meetings with their sponsorship and also by putting their individual company logos on the front page, will pay back real dividends in the fullness of time.
Lets hope they are the first of many, but that aside lets not forget that they were the first.
Plus, its always nice to see who your friends are. 😉

ModeratorRe: Blomberg 1501AAA Motor drive problem
It does sound as though the speed control module needs replacing from your description of the fault. problem is, is this the cause or a symptom.
It can get expensive when your guessing. How old is the appliance ?Del

Belts will always ride on the high side of a pulley. can you check that the drum pulley is bolted on tight that there is no wobble in relation to the shaft and that the motor bolts are secure.

ModeratorRe: Impact
It had to come eventually we couldn’t go on spending half our time swatting spammers. The added advantage is that we can now boast of actual members rather than passing hit’s.
It is my opinion that once we reach the 5 million mark in a few weeks we will have proved the point that we have a very popular site from then on we need to start thinking more about the quality of the visits we recieve and the sign up will help us out there.

ModeratorRe: Portable Appliance Testing
I’m sure that most of us have at some time or other repaired appliances
in shops, nurseries, schools and offices and have on occassion repaired appliances in workshops. So it would appear according to the H.S.E. statement that there is a legal requirement to carry out a portable appliance test on completion of any repairs on these appliances at the very least.

Hi Sue,
Is it possible to look at the hob from underneath as there should be a sticker on it that gives the E-NR and FD numbers which are essential
before we can find a part no for you.Cheers
