    hi captaincaveman1 i had already checked the pump and pipes for blockages nff, it seems like if you leave it for a while it will work again but then it cuts out again

    hi Martin not sure customer had not complained of poor perfomance, however the module was replaced as i returned the previous faulty one (which had no display) so this is a different one, i had thought of trying a p/switch and will do so but not confident that will cure it thanks john

    thanks for your input iadom , will inspect more closely although the link does not look like a mod. its simply a loop of wire, even if it has been shorted would that cause the control unit to blank out ie no display, i will check motor numbers compatable as well

    i might but i rent washers out and have a surplus o cwd’s and its a sealed tub so i don’t want to spend money on a heater in case the bearings fail

    hi thanks again guys it was the dryer heater, will it work ok just as a washer with heater disconnected ?

    thanks Seamey will try that, just remembered i had a similar fault some years ago that was the dryer heater, although i would have expected it to show up on the general megohms test thanks again …John

    hi heater fine whole machine reads good on megohms i checked usual things pump carbons inlet valves etc any other possibilities ?

    thanks steve just trying to cut cost, have used emw b4 but you can get a new module for not a lot more from qualtex
