    Re: CDA CW494 dishwasher motor?

It’s a Whirlpool machine. Is it fitted with the Askoll motor? If so there’s a whole raft of info regarding them.
Replacement is a Ceset motor and pump.

Can you program the EWM1000 boards? There are no instructions in the service manual for it (that I can see) and if I remember correctly there isn’t a code sticker on the old module either.

There’s no code on my TDS disc and there’s no code on Pro Corner either.
I’m interested in this one as I’ve always been given pre configured boards.

Well, I’ve learned something there too. Didn’t know about the new part of the website or the new boards. Thanks for the info John.

Whirlpool only list 3 versions online. 85 ending 15120 15121 and 15124. 2 of these are on SIOS disc. 15122 doesn’t exist either on SIOS or online.
It would appear to be that the Service number is missing. I’ve enlarged the photo but can’t see any Service number.
Afraid you’ll have to contact Whirlpool.

    Hiya,
85 number is wrong. Sios and Whirlpool online don’t recognise it.
If it’s 858516115121 then configuration code is listed on Sios as being 5.
If it’s 858516115124 then Whirlpool have kindly left the code out of the information online and it’s not listed on my Sios discs.

2004 has the new electronics. Change over was week 30 2003.

You should only need the rear board. Rear board is available in Shop@.

    Hiya,
2004 machine. May well be that the rear board has thrown it’s hand in.

    Hi Greg,
It’s not a one line answer I’m afraid.
Basically it’s heat related. PCB, heater? , thermister etc.
I’ll email the info to you if you give me your email addy. 😛

    Hiya,
85 number doesn’t appear to be correct. However, I’ve got the wiring diagrams for you for the nearest match to that number.
If you pm me your email address I’ll send them over.
I’ve looked at the diagrams and you’re right, there is a 2nd live feed that bypasses the switch. White/Blue wire from P6 on the selector is the 2nd feed.

    Hiya,
Put the cooker controls to the off position. Turn the power on at the wall, press the button 3 times to get to the set time position. Set the time. Press the button again.
Hope my memory is good, think that’s the procedure.
