Re: Help, Zanussi des959 error code AL6

OK bit long winded but here’s the reasons for AL6.
    a. Domestic drain outlet unsuitable (obstructed)
    b. Drain pump disconnected / jammed
    c. Pressure switch faulty (jammed on 1-3)
    d. IWMS – pressure switch tube obstructed
    e. Drain filters clogged
    f Control board (Relay/Triac faulty)

Rather you than me is all I can say. 🙄

Can’t remember offhand the list of faults for seven flashes, however, if you post the 12NC I’ll look it up on the S.A.M and post the results

    Re: Firenza(Whirlpool) DM 658 dishwasher.

Sorry, don’t know the machines by model number, however going by the problems I encounter on Whirlpool/Diplomat or whatever name they go by it sounds like a problem with the flowmeter. This has to send so many pulses a second (guess who’s forgot how many) otherwise the machine aborts. It’s normally followed by seven flashes on the start button.
Tightening the connections to the flowmeter and pcb normally cures. Other things to check are water pressure/flow and inlet valve. I’ve also had similar faults cured by replacing the pressure switch.
Hope this helps but don’t shout at me if I’m wrong, I don’t know the machines by model number, I have to use the 12NC and not every dishwasher is on the S.A.M

The spigot is under the sink, where you plugged the drain hose into. Newer types have a hole but are plugged inside. Check that it’s either unplugged or opened.

Flow meter is actually a pressure switch, located on the left side of the bowl. Sorry, don’t have parts list here.

Check that the spray arms aren’t blocked and that they rotate freely.

OK, I first thought faulty inlet valve but it shouldn’t have stepped on to heating, so, blockage in the pressure switch area would be my guess.

OK. If this is the machine I’m thinking it is, Whirlpool badged, single flash is NTC fault. (Water temperature sensor).

Count the number of flashes, they will correspond to an error code.
On error condition (whatever the error) it will always revert to first program (rinse) and the start button will flash. There will be a number of flashes then a pause and the flashes will repeat.

Hmmm. Just a thought this mind you………………
Why’s the warranty null and void? Engineer only needs the original date of sale (receipt) or if no receipt available he can check age of machine from the two 12 digit numbers. If the date code is within 12 months Whirlpool will do warranty repair.

Re: Whirlpool adp5966 dishwaher F3 error

Whirlpool result for error code F3.

F3 indicates a Heating System Defect.
Heater or relay on control board defect.
    Also check cabling.

These machines are notorious for bad connections.

The control board can also suffer from corrupt software. The eprom can be reprogrammed with the right equipment.

OK, silly one here. Has it drained the water away?
If not, check the spigot under the sink isn’t plugged.
Amazing the number of new machines I go to have the drain hose fixed to a plugged spigot 😛

Nice one. Used this method yesterday. Saved me having to get the pullers sent through and saved the customer waiting another couple of weeks.
Keep the tips coming. I need em 😛

Depending on where it was purchased, you may have a five year parts and labour warranty. There was some deal going around but I’m not sure which dealers were involved.
