    Hi Jim, It’s for a WM64.

    Thanks

    Re: Ignis D/w no heat

If it won’t go into test program then most likely the NTC is faulty.
There are 3 instances where the test program can’t be run, Faulty NTC, Continous water inlet and can’t remember the third one off the top of my head.
Flow meter is part of the metering tank so you’d have to change the lot, wouldn’t affect the heating though as it would abort the program.
Faulty diaphragm switch (WI) won’t cause the heating fault. Explained in my previous post.
Don’t have my sios on this system so can’t look up the part number for the pcb. Someone else will be along with it later though.

Edit. I remember, F1, F2 and F9 will prevent the machine running it’s built in diagnostics.

Check the metering tank to sump transfer hose. Normally blocked causing E2.

Sticks where in the program? On error this machine should abort the program. If it’s filling and then appearing to do nothing I’d check the wash pump and motor. If it’s an Askoll, it’s well documented on here.

Ok, I’m going back 3 years in memory here.
Lack of water shouldn’t let the machine run at all.

The flow meter must send at least 10 pulses in 10 seconds to the pcb, less and it aborts the program. (6 and 7 flashes) The pressure switch (WI) switches when the machine has taken in 1 (think it’s 1, might be 2) litres of water. If it fails to switch in a given time it aborts.
From the number of pulses and the time to switch the software calculates how much longer the fill valve should remain open.

Going through the program without heating and not generating an error code.
NTC, faulty PCB or corrupted software, slight possibility of broken wiring. If you don’t have a SAM or access to one then you can’t reprogram the pcb.

Test procedure for the machine is in the Known error codes and the UKWhitegoods book.

No need to break in. I use a piece of string, middle of string fed in between machine and door at lock, ends fed in and worked round to opposite side, pull to the side and the lock opens.
Works on a lot machines too.

Baron, I’d be very interested in further information on the program and the programmer you’re using.

Could you email me the info?

    Thanks

I’ve already sent the built in diagnostics routine. I’ve got the routine for older Dolphin Range Dishwashers as a pdf. Anyone needs it, just ask.

I’d guess that the alternating valve has stuck. One of the Bosch lads will be able to confirm that I’m right or that I’m just daft. 😛
    Or both? 😉

It’s an older style dolphin range machine.
Every error shows as a continuous flashing start light.
You have to put the machine into diagnostic mode to get the correct error code.
If you’ve got the Sios disk the instructions are on there. If not I’ll see what I can find tomorrow.

Never heard of them either but, White Westinghouse do have an integrated washer dryer with the model number WD601.

Sorry, I missed the model number being posted.
I’ve checked it anyway and Whirlpool don’t appear to have published any tables for the codes. 😥

    Hi Andy.
Unfortunately it appears to be the wrong stat. The one I need has two phials and the one on masterpart appears to have only one.

    Thanks.
