ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADG7340, won’t reset
Yep. module carries out a diagnostic at every start up.
Start up, it should take in water while pumping out to flush out the system. NTC fault would be detected during this so it would appear that all it’s done is pump out.The age of the machine is quite important too as older models have different ways of showing the codes. If you’ve got the serial number then we can determine it’s age.

Machine is over 10 years old. The continuous flashing light only indicates an error has occured. You have to go into the “passive test program” to show the stored failure code.
NTC fault, Water leakage and Continuous water inlet (F1, F2 and F9) will prevent the test program being run.
The procedure to run the test programs and the error codes differ from the later models.
I’ve got the procedure (clear as mud) and error codes on a pdf if you need them.

Depends on the age of it for the error code but, a faulty NTC won’t allow you to run the diagnostic program and if it’s not too old a machine, continuous flash is error code F1 – NTC fault.

ParticipantRe: whirlpool s20b-a/g fridge freezer
You’ll need to see what is going on with this one.
There’s a built in diagnostic. Switch the power off to the machine, switch it back on and immediately open the freezer door and look at the right hand optic. It will flash a code to you. Don’t have the codes to hand but can remember that 2 flashes is faulty optics, 3 is faulty icemaker.Brian

It’s definitely not Whirlpool. Check the known error codes for Smeg.

I can’t find an FDW50 but the DWF50 and FDW60 share the same fault codes. 4th led indicates a problem with the solenoid valve. (Found it in the UKWhitegoods bible 😀 )
Of course, if i’m wrong someone will be along soon to correct me.
