Re: Replacement for IGNIS Integrated Dishwasher

The fill hose will have the standard anti flood ” lump” attached to it which is larger than the standard fill hose here allow a couple of inches if the hose needs to go through a side wall of a base unit.

This aside the installation of the door and leveling is pretty much straight forward.

I have to ask in view of your comments in your last post who is supposed to be carrying out the installation, how much have you paid and are you expectimng them to do a full install?

Re: Maxol Majestic Built-in Gas double oven

    Hi

Maxol spares were all obsolete back in 2005 so the chance of a repair is very very slim to say the least. If the oven works apart from the automatic timer I would settle for that.

That aside I would be looking to replace soon if you are able as if you call a Gas Safe engineer out he will more than likely condemn it on age and emission grounds.

Sorry but we cannot advise on DIY gas repairs due to forum rules

Here’s an idea rebrand all the tumble dryers to Ariston then you can have onandonandon 😆

Onandonandon from the 1990’s on Youtube for those who don’t remember the Ariston TV ad.

    Hi

As there is so little out there in semi integrated I was listing what was currently available. Bosch is better than Hotpoint. Neff and Bosch are from the same stable so not a lot to choose between them apart from the bells and whistles.

The 86cm extra height machines will not fit under standard height worktop.

    Yep 😉

I went for the swap out on an older Hotpoint condenser, paid the £99 and now have a shiny new Whirlpool condenser in it’s place with a new one year warranty.

I made sure I got the best value by going for the model with the highest cost price 😀

    Re: Washing machine height

    Hi C D

Just to clarify Bosch machines with the feet wound right in are 84.5cm tall. The height of the foot including the adjusting nut is 15mm.

The height of the worktop lid is 3cm, model dependent.

    Re: Washing machine height

    Hi

Leave the standard feet on it will balance better than the anti vibration feet.

The cheapest way to reduce the overall height would be to remove the worktop lid and using a piece of sheet metal say from an old tumble dryer or washing machine lid or side panel make your own height reduction lid.

As long as it’s covering the front accurately so little fingers can’t get in and it saves any spillage from getting in it will be okay. Once fitted you can adjust the feet a little if need be.

Which model are you thinking of?

    Re: Another Successful Conference

A very enjoyable couple of days spent at the Ramada Wolverhampton. It was good to see so many new faces and be able to catch up with old friends over a few beers.

Well done Lawrence, Ken and all the team for another successful WTA conference. If you were not there this year you missed out on a lot.

The amount of work you guys on the WTA team put in organising the day ensuring it runs smoothly is incredible and at the same time running your own businesses!! Mustn’t forget the front of house ladies Tina, Tracey and Valerie for a smooth check in.

As usual the topics covered on the Friday by Ken and Lawrence were both humorous and informative as were the guest speakers.

Judging by the amount of suppliers and distributors displaying, a bigger venue may be in order next year.

Both teams were a credit to what was a great game of football. The only difference was UTD have a truly world class player in Abramovic.

Saints well and truly played their part and did well to come back from two nil down and were unlucky not to go on and win the game before UTD hit the winner.

    Hi

Had a look on the Hoover Candy tech site the carbon brushes are not listed. It may be that there is no spare part available, I can find the motor here which obviously seems rather silly.

Leave your email enquiry with Dave as he has built up a big database of cross referencing for all sorts of parts. I do hope he can help.

    Hi

Try the attached instructions. It’s not for your model directly but it may help. I’m hoping the programming used is the same across the whole range.

Let us know how you get on.
