ModeratorRe: Weird Belling model number
Hi Tony
I reckon it`s a 492GR and 0217018 is the serial number. That being the case it`s the grill element in two halves, either STV082605118 or CRE6224543. If you deal with Connect it`s ELE4390.
Anyone else ?

ModeratorRe: Please advice on new fridge freezer
Hi
As far as the brands go, there is not a lot in it TBH, personally I like the Siemens machines but then I do have expensive tastes when it comes to appliances :rolls:
Liebherr K2734 only 55cm wide which may reduce storage capacity only available in white by looks of it.Siemens KD40NA90GB 70cm wide but in stainless steel and with a five year warranty, does come with a heavier price tag though 😉
Miele no longer produce a freestanding machine only an integrated one ( wooden doors and a carcass are needed )
AEGS75328DT1 no longer a current model on AEg web site however Googling says still available from different sources. This one ticks all your boxes. To help keep stainless steel clear of fingerprints, especially if the fridge is getting many visits a day we reccomend you purchase
Chromol 500ml stainless steel cleaner. not cheap but I have had very good results using it on our Neff and Bosch appliances.HTH

ModeratorRe: Kenwood KDW12ST3A
Looks like it`s a Curry`s engineer time to resolve the problem.
poster on http://www.how to mend it wrote:We have the same dishwasher and the same fault. Our engineer (supplied by kenwood through ringing curry’s product support) came out and had it fixed in 5 mins. It is the switch inside the door closing mechanism (you may notice that the door isn’t clicking closed) Our switch had moved out of place. He took the door cover off, moved it back into place, and this now allows you to choose your cycle, the door clicks closed and the machine starts. This was about 6 weeks ago and our dishwasher has again developed the same fault. I will be looking for a refund / replacement but different product now.

(as I think Hotpoint have stopped doing them now).Quite true 🙂 , the new range will no longer take a reduction lid. The only range I can find is the new Bosch rangeof dryers with the exception of the WTB76556GB. Apart from that you could resort to plan B as above, if you can find a retailer that is happy to remove some worktop lids for you 😉 .

Hi
No kit available I`m afraid 😥 However this did come up a while ago in another thread on washing machine lid kit, the same priciples still apply 😉
kwatt wrote:Hi Keller,
There isn’t a kit available for ISE and, on ISE10, it isn’t possible to reduce the height even if the lid is removed due the construction.
In essence though all it is is a sheet of thin metal with a (usually) foam strip, much like the stick-on draught strips from DIY stores, around the edge and that’s about all they are. The only reason for those is to stop little fingers from prodding about inside and to somewhat stop any spills as well.
A lot of manufacturers don’t bother with them as they are rarely asked for. If you have one fitted to the existing machine you’d likely find that it could be “adapted” to fit a new one with a bit of cutting and drilling.

To get that sort of spec you will need to be looking at the upper end of machines like the Bosch and Neff ranges which come with a higher price tag 😉

Can anyone recommend a suitable integrated fridge/freezer please, preferably no more than £400Thanks
Instead of the Indesit I would go for the Gorenje RKI4256W much better than the Indesit comes with a full five year warranty. You can find your local independant stockist from the website as well.

ModeratorRe: Dishwasher 180 – 200 pounds
Hi
You don`t want to go there to be fair 😉 at that sort of price I cannot come up with anything which is not of Chinese origin which I could happily recommend. Increase the budget a little and go for either the Zanussi ZDF131W or the Bosch SGS43T72, slightly more again but will last longer be more reliable and have a two year warranty, which in an office enviroment with possible multiple users may be the better way to go.
A good read can be found here in our dishwasher buying guide.

ModeratorRe: Fridge with large Freezer capacity
Hi
That capacity combination finished a few years ago I`m afraid. Best way forward would be seperate units if space allows. Widths vary as well, 60cm will give you the most choice of product, 55cm is limited and 50cm there is very little available.
