not being funny martin but have you looked at the brushes? Had one yesterday on one flash after spinning fine for me but the hardware key showed up a motor fault, out came the brushes and they were well gone despite sounding fine when spinning.

    Re: Thin Hose Clips

the proper type as fitted oem are the following sizes:
    Ind/hpt/Haier circ pump 31.4mm
    Ind/hpt d/w heater 47mm.
assume that is the size when closed up using the tool. Given that, would expect Kens 18-38 and 31-51 would be suitable alternatives. would like to see them first though.

Dont have the whirlpool sizes and it should be noted that the Smeg ones are re useable anyway.

sounds like its a E7 error (flow meter). Although it doesnt normally effect the 45cm models, it may only be a software glitch. try the following:

With the door open, turn on the appliance and within three seconds push 4 times on the program selection
button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG LED’s are flashing
This LED combination represents the test program for the appliances that have a flow meter.
If the above indication is not shown on the appliance, switch the appliance off and try the sequence again until the above LED’s are shown on display.
Now push on the program button once more to select the version ‘without flow meter’, check that the SOAK
    LED goes out,
Do not close the appliance door, to complete settings switch the appliance off.
Now switch the appliance ‘on’ and test on a SOAK program.

As it says in bold, sometimes it takes a few attempts to get it into the correct mode.

this will not account for the water in the base though!

Just how do you find the time chris? along with running a business, spending evenings checking out the ale, keeping a wife and kids happy as well as the most important part of your work, answering all those queries on UKW.

think maybe DNA’s thread about wishing to copy manufacturers CD should be removed for fear of tarnishing UKW’s reputation amoungst the manufacturers. I have locked it for now. will unlock or delete depending upon opinions.

Re: ZANUSSI COMPACT CONDENSOR DRYER TC180W

I had one of these and not sure i ever really solved it, changed the valve on the water tank as that wa leaking and I think the seals on the door.

Official line from Electrolux on these:

    Leakage from door
    Brand: ZANUSSI
    Model: TCS65, PNC 916090243.
    TC180, PNC 916090254.
There have been reported instances of leakage from the door area and on
inspection it appears to be from the rubber connection between the outer door
and the main body of the machine.
Because these tumble dryers condense the steam within the door, it has been
found that leakage can occur if the customer opens the door during the drying
    cycle.
The factory have now added a warning, in the customers handbook, warning
against opening the door during a cycle and this is also repeated on a sticker
which is on the inside of the door

np probs my end so I guess you got a duff one, what do you expect for £55?
Think I had a naff one some issues back and they needed a lot of persuading to believe me and even sent a stamped paid padded bag for me to return the duff one.
