its a high pressure swtich so need a syringe to operate it, unless you have a lot of puff it wont click by blowing.

ah, com stick, thats more what we know! Gave up on them years ago. IMO if the coms good they are not needed, if the coms bad they do not help at all. as for the Bosch’s have always used gen and never once had a call back or problem.

ModeratorRe: Smeg WMI 16AAA
not a known problem but form your description sounds like a blown pump triac on the board. Is it starting as soon as the power/selector is turned even before the start button is pressed? Have had some dangling wires leading to the float swtich rubbing through their insulation and shorting against the base in the past but thats a long shot.

ModeratorRe: MFI Turmoil
thought I had got away with it, but got the call this morning, number withheld so no chance of identifyng them first. I pleaded ignorance until he mentioned MFI and then I said something like “wow, thats great news, you have got our money for us then!” Which destroyed his business like demeanor and he became a cocky so and so.

ModeratorRe: Connections – Price bands
Martin you are stating the obvious and if it were correct then fair enough, the fact is though it doesnt work out that way, hence the reason folks pose the question in the first place. Where some other companies may have a few varying discount rates, connect do not follow any pattern and prices vary almost randomly on even on location, not complaining but those in the south east seem to be on a better price level than the northerners AFAICT. I wonder if things like the amount of returns and general hassle/ promptness of payment are taken into consideration.
