    Re: Yell.Com

What Alex says is very true, but, if anyone is going to use a directory I think Yell is still the #1 choice. OK maybe its the elder generation nowdays but they are the ones with the money to spend and who dislike buying new stuff at a whim. Call me old fashioned but we still have our landline in the hall and yes the directories are stacked underneath it.

    Re: Yell.Com

beware of the dedicated number as the odd dialing code puts off those who like to only deal with a local customer. Knocked Yell.com on the head a few years ago after little response. A hard advert in the book still brings results.

    part numbers are:

    C00263927 for the reader

C00255979 the low end adaptor for the cheapo range!

AFAIK it will also work on the cookers and, hopefully, all future boards on all products. Any Indesit parts supplier should be able to supply for you, I paid £49+ £36 odd back in June.

Cash accounting is where you only pay the vat as and when you get paid While Accural ( or invoice accounting) accounting means you pay the vat as soon as you make out an invoice. Likewise, when you buy parts etc you claim the vat back from the date of the invoice from your supplier rather than when you pay them. Makes a big differnce to cash flow especially when buying stuff on credit or hp (Yellow pages adverts is a good example) as you can claim the vat as a lump sum at the begining of the term rather than a little bit each month.

    Re: MFI Turmoil

I got a small amount yesterday as well. No payment info so cannot be sure which invoices they refer too but it looks as though its 2 D&G jobs and one MFI year 1 warranty job. All done the week leading up to the Kroll letter.

not sure how many there are but 481952228008 is a common one, one of the Whirlpool guys here would need to confirm if there is only one type or not. Its only £75 as well

Have you waited after the pause? these machines mess about for ages before they spin. Would suspect a timer or module fault rather than motor.

Paul, can you give us the correct model number which will be on the rating plate, it will start with: WM (eg: wm100) the rating plate will either be behind the cover panel over the filter or above the inner door (get down on your knees to read it) AFAIK a 20004 does not have a module!

MFI have not contacted me at all since the Kroll letter, I guess the 12 agents lost are just the ones that have told them that, must be a fair few like me who have had no contact whatsoever with them.

cannot find your exact model number but it will probably be 481227618367 (there is a picture on connect). Have done a lot of these machines but never changed one before.
no fuse AFAIK but therre are a couple of themal fuses which will stop the motor if blown. on the fan cowling, rectangular shape.

found this gem accidently on connections:

    5031682621806

    Pressure cut-off switch screw ldt AWM600A M912W M3006W M3006G M3006B M3712W M3712S M9130 electra 1150A eco M302W (5031682621806)

    Each

    SRP: £10.14

    1+
    £7.34

For those that cannot be bothered to look it up, its basicly a small self tapping screw!
