yep, that is a replacement for original part number 754131013 and fits all the Smeg/ Diplomat models. This is the “goalpost” seal.

think that is for the complete fan motor and condenser assembly and yes, a bit over the top. Most of the parts are available seperatly. These are a bitch to clean out and its kind of good to know that even a machine costing £1k+ suffers from the same blocked condenser as does the cheapest Servis/Indesit/Candy whatever. despite having extra valves and flushing programmes built in to it. Moral being avoid any washer drier like the plague.

Yeah, common problem. Usually a clean up of the o rings solves it, if not, try new o rings while keeping the originals in place as well (they dont come with a new air beak so no need to go down that route.)

    Re: MFI

Have asked MFI to clarify the situation. Not actually owed anything by AIG right now but did get an unusual flurry of AIG calls off them yesterday, almost as if another agent or even MFI themselves did not want to take the risk. Right now they are sitting on my desk un booked. As I am not owed, as such and have no problem with normal MFI jobs, I dont have grounds to refuse the jobs. Having said that, I dont want to be a sitting target should the worse happen.

hope the missus is OK Alex.

    Just to advise.

Due to the unrest with A.I.G. and the fact they owe me money I have instruced my staff that ALL A.I.G. claims are on a pay & claim basis.

Sorry if this compromises any relationships, however after many years of doing this, I try not to compromise my bank account.

It is interesting you got a pile today, maybe they’ve ditched the stuff they had for their own engineer and would rather focus on work they will get paid for.
