AIG worldwide in financial probs according to Times on Saturday…. never paid me without a chase and often round down vat and pay a penny less than the invoice states…..must use the same calculator as connect do for their invoices.

    not news really.

Must admit to not having many AIG calls passed to me in the last few months but today recieved a whole pile of them. Wondering if another agent has refused them and they are trying me…..
should I take them? they do not owe me anything so dont really have grounds to refuse them.

Cost about £140 for 3 years. after that you pay a smaller amount
Mind you I havn’t got round to filling it in yet 😥
    Hope this helps
    Toni

remember doing that a good few years ago when these first came about….and because I didnt apply at the time they follow up called me to ask, in no uncetain terms, why I hadnt applied and for what reason.. Seems that just requesting a form was enough for them to put you on some sort of check list.

have you left it long enough? they take an age to spin and you must start the spin prog exactly on the start of the programme. one click past it and it will not spin, ideally start it on the end of the rinse programme and let it run through. Should be a good 3-4 minutes of pump and fwd/reverse drum action before it will ‘pause’ (all goes quiet, no pump, no drum action and no timer motor even- this phase often confuses engineers but it is normal) after around 30 secs the machine will re start and should then ramp up to a slow, brief spin. after that it will progressively lead up to the full spin. Dont be tempted to speed up the programme by advancing the knob and if there is even a hint of out of balance it will skip the spin altogether. test empty to be sure, if it spins as above then it will be ok. IMO and assuming the pressure chamber is clean- Give it a squeeze, think milking a cow!.
I have never had a belt issue causing no spin and feel it is an urban myth. IMO!

    Re: Torque

I do a lot of Renault stuff and their manuals are always shown in da nm (deka newton metres) 8.6 does converrt to around 63ftlb so it sounds about right. The wheel nuts on one of my cars is shown as 9danm which = 66 ft lb. guess you have been overtightening those wheel nuts! (Although wheel nuts are often tightend more that wheel bolts.)
    there is a handy converter at: http://www.sciencelab.com/data/conversi … sion.shtml

dont forget that to add a zero after the number to convert from deka newtons to newton metres.
