    Re: Bosch/Gorenje tumble driers

Did mine today, not a nice job but not too difficult, yes it is like a Hoover/Candy but I hate those things. The inspection panel in the base is a good touch for when the belt pops off the first time the drum turns, kind of like the good old days of Creda driers with such things. Found had to undo all the screws in the base plate the allow the cabinet sides to be pulled apart enough to release the front drum support/ air duct. Should be grateful they are not stretch on belts I suppose. How did you get on Martin?

    Re: BSH Changes

Seems to be working fine for me (now I have registered) explodeds just as before AFAICT. Even better, my order history is sitting there and I guess the order basket is not lost when you log off (not tried that yet though!) Shame no tech info though!

Think it was a big dissapointment myself. Gave up out of boredom half way through, never was a new romantic though….and hated Tab.

The floppy used to be used for setting up terminals to access the data over a network (from one central location). Pretty sure not needed anymore.

Re: Smeg WMI16 AAA Module Question

If that one has a base on it, check the dangling motor wires have not worn their insulation away on the base plate, had it a few times for blowing trip faults. Not sure that will be your problem though.

this is from the parts manual:
2 codes for the speed control module – 696290787 has been built till the 12/02/04,
    696290802 from the 13/02/04 on,
to get the right code you have to know the serial number

Nothing that advanced on these, they use a seperate old style stat for both. Assuming the comp is not running, just flick the fast freeze switch to by pass it. If that doesnt work then its a compressor problem.

Re: Smeg DD612WC Semi intergrated dishwasher

The odd thing is that the dispenser opening and heating are not really interconnected. If, for example, the heater relay were faulty then the dispenser should still open. Assume you have checked the pressure switch? Also pull a hose of the heater and remove the torpedo, it may be gunged up causing the heater to overheat initially due to lack of water thoughflow. If all else fails then yes, the main pcb must be suspect.
ps. are you sure you are testing it on a wash that opens the flap and heats on the first fill? use the glasses or quick wash as the flap should open within a minute or so of the circ pump starting, heating should then follow. I have assumed your model number is really DD612SC
