ModeratorRe: SMEG DWF1 – Odd Salt problem?
Is the salt in the container going down? As you have recently topped it up, remove the cap after a few washes and the level should have gone down, if not then it may be a regeneration valve problem or even the electronic control.
Those symptoms can also be caused by the spray arms being blocked (remove them and shake out any large bits through the central hole) or cheap detergent or rinse aid.eastlmark

ModeratorRe: Bosch d/w heater failures
yep, i mean the heater itself as the newer pcb’s dont suffer the dry joint problem 😥 . They have all been open circuit failures. the worse thing is that there are at least 3 different types and are pricey too so keeping a van stock is expensive.
they have been:266196 £45.13
266197 £45.13
and today,483058 at £62.00
yet the original version of these machines, now 6-8 years or so old hardly ever suffered a heater failure. reckon they are made of the same stuff as the fan elements.eastlmark
ModeratorRe: PC restore?
If you are on XP why not try a system restore to a date point just before the said Rep did the damage. got to be worth a try.

..and dont you just love it when they multiply the “5 minutes” (its always 5 minutes, regardless) you took to repair their machine by 12 and then by 8 and then declare that you earn like £4800 a day! :clown:

ModeratorRe: Neff fan oven elements
Fitted a new fan motor to one of these today and notcied the fan has now got a ring of holes in it which are new, not seen one like that before anyhow. Maybe some connection with the life of the elements? Mind you the fan motors are not that reliable either.

ModeratorRe: PDF versions of suppliers catalogues
any particular reason why you need this walnut? Reckon with all the photos a PDF version would be a tedious read on a PC.
