I used to work for a earlier incarnation of this company and their spares policy was pretty poor. Anyway, they are Alba/Bush and the only contact i have is 0208 584 5533 which is their office in Barking.

Not wanting t be seen as a spy for UKW, but heres is a quick run down of the AGM.
The turnout was pretty poor.. About 19 in all (+ the invited speakers. ) most of which are council members. pretty sure I may have been the only “normal” (me Normal?)member attending. Walter “Mr personality” Russell has been elected (with no opposition) chairman while Phill Dill takes over as vice. Mark Scroggins it seems is to take a back seat from now on. We had a presentation from trainers (cannot remember who, but they did the same last year on Corgi) about part P, a software demo from Eurorealm, a brief talk from Roy Fisher and also by terry Tudor. That was about it really. Plenty of cakes though.

The base of these has always been enclosed but in Daves defence, the pump can be changed from either the front or rear. BTW I always fit gen pumps on these after a string of filter failures on pattern ones caused blocked pumps which subsequently melted, blowing the modules. Customes like these machines and willingly pay the £60 odd a gen pump costs.

I find that Identifier does work and is very good. Lots of Stoves exploded diagramms etc as well as the old stuff that was on Stocklink. And if you need a bit for boiler you are laughing. (Like I ever do need a bit for a boiler!) Having said that, i still havenot managed to succesfully build and send an order and cannot be done with all that pack stuff. a few months back we were at about £1500 a month with them, while last month i did a pathetic £60.89.

Dont expect a washer dryer to work as well, or as fast, as your stand alone tumble drier. Having said that, assuming you are using the machine correctly, (leaving the water turned on, right?)then after on hour I would have expected the load described to be pretty much dry. Obviously, try a longer drying time but, assuming it is new and under warranty, speak to Hotpoint service.

I guess the idea is to throw a wavering customer to have a costly motor repair done if they get the other items for free.

Replying to my own posts here but I just though that may be the idea behind it.

Might be about to beat both of you, we have a home for persons with disabilities on our patch whom I look after their Miele commercial machines. They have had a power surge and the washers have blown both circuit boards as well as the switch board as well as 3 (they are 3 phase) chunky 30 amp cartridge fuses on both machines! The driers have only blown he single pcb. Am pricing it up right now and the washers are heading for the £800 each mark!

Would suggest trying the dispenser coil, just hook on any old valve coil to try it and at least eliminate it.

    Re: Hotpoint FD61 Dishwasher

    presume you mean a DF61?

Not a machine prone to leak as such and sometimes difficult to find the source of water in the tray. A blocked pump or drain, filter even can cause it so that is the first place to look. Check also the spray arms are not blocked and turning freely.
Difficult to access the working parts on this model, if you try, ensure it is unplugged and safe first.

Yes Martin, Chrome (effect) is what I meant, hence the Miele comments.
