Am I mug still insisting on Gen Bosch parts? Making a measly £5 or so on a £45 pump?

I notice the Euroline Asko produced washers have dissapeared from the new price list.

    Chris.

Yes several. I was talking pre Maxx Bosch emphasising the change from the good old German machine to what they have produced for the past few years and that Bosch engineers may even have been happier doing a Gorenje rather than a late model Bosch.

I’ve done several now both Balay and Bosch type, got it down to 45mins, as Eastimark say’s removable front makes it a doddle.

I tend to treat such jobs as a marathon rather than a sprint and dont really go for times, I prefer to count the recalls or lack of them. IMO any split tub machine, whatever the make is a nightmare given the amount of screws etc. but its is what we all now need to get used to.

    No.
I think we are still an agent but work is very few and far between. Do order the odd bit though, but not for a while.

Some of those reviews are a bit out of date models now Ken. Dont want to be seen as a stagnating forum, may have to loose some.
Not doing sales anymore kind of restricts access to new models now.

Hey Martin, I just gave Yurtsen your home address, he’s coming to your party tonight! Bringing his Candy drum shaft as a prezzy.

    Happy birthday Martin.

Martin, thats not much more than the old Hotpoint WM tubs, given that Whirlpool parts are on the pricy side, it doesnt seem over the top to me. Not worth it, yes but not surprisingly high. Just run of the mill and IMO doesnt qualify for inclusion in that thread anyway. Am I waffling on here? I think so.

Seems your not going to get an answer to this one Geoff. Cannot help with the part but Teka are still going as part of Kuppersbusch. Teba is the one that went under. Try the web links section here for contacts.

I can’t believe it’s true that I won’t have to fix it any more.

Lets face it, Bosch engneers have had a cushy life so far, removable fronts and backs, bolt on spiders, little pipes to drain the last of the water out so you knees dont get wet, Tub fronts secured by buckles, pressure chambers secured by, well nothing at all really.
No wonder they cannot be bothered to even take the lid of Gorenje and why should they when the friendly retailer will only be too happy to exchange it or refund if you nudge the customer enough.

Suppose I am comparing it to good quality stuff.

Stick a Gorenje and a Bosch on 1600 spin side by side and then tell me which is the quality product.

Its £35.98 inc vat and p&P. Please not that this is just the motor (inclding impellor) of the pump and does not include the filter and housing.
