Asea will be …hmm ….Servis UK but I bet they never heard of em if you were to ask.

Hirundo was an indesit badge, a very popular one too at one time that I totally forgot about.

True, Diplomat dishwashers do appear here often but a few things needed to be taken into consideration.
    1) Search for Diplomat Dishwasher on google and this site is almost top of the list, search, for example, Bosch dishwasher and that is not the case.
    2) Diplomat is just a name, they dont actually make anything, most of their dishwashers are infact made by an upmarket appliance manufacturer who’s own brand dishwashers are way up the price scale and are anything but rubbish. Interestingly, their own name appears on UKW far less often.
    3) Most Diplomats are supplied with fitted kitchens rather than being the choice of the customer. Somehow, they dont seem to be looked after in the same way as someone who has splashed out, say £800 on a built in Miele or Siemens etc. True, the Diplomat does seem to suffer more from grease build ups etc and therefore the less grease that goes in in the first place the less trouble they will cause.

Beleive me, there are far worse diswashers out there.

Eric, got to thepage suggested above, enter your model number in the search box and click go, select your exact model number from the list and click on that, you should then get a list of parts available for that model, click on any of the icons showing a yellow pencil in the details column, this should open up a pdf file.

I think what you are looking for will not be there, there is no easy access.

The mounting is in a different place. The worse thing is we already fitted 2 gen ones and they are earthed from new.

Not its not Dave, its just a pcb board with no knob shafts, the one I have is marked on a yellow label on the case: New Part number, ET91224210, software version: 2421000

I guess it may be better to go with Kens number unless someone can prove it is a supersession. By the way you would have to do a lot of Blagging Chris as this one was billed to me at £124.84

Lawrence wrote:,Look out for the later model it doesn’t have the stupid hose system but I am informed it does have a turret affair in the sump whereby if the customer places a saucepan over it it drags water in to the base, also the pump spigot are very very fragile you only have to breath on them and they brake ,I have had two exchanges where over zealous installers have managed to break the inlet valve!!
all in all not a good product

    Lawrence

Yeah, that turrett also forms the mounting for the rear of the circ pump on a coiled spring affair (the only other mounting being the hoses). I managed to break one of these when changing a circ pump and that was on one of the ” higher quality” Indesit versions.

Take extra care (no pun intended) when pushing these back into position as the steel used in the door is very thin indeed. The first one I did had 10 little dents corrosponding to my fingers after doing so.

I dont know but it was a Merloni design in the first place, at the same time that Hairer were launching a few years back, at a trade show somewhere they were displaying washing machines that were previous model Ariston Margeretas. There is obviously some kind of design trade off going on, assuming they are not just ripping them off.

Quick update on this, the one I have is p/n: 52X0893 but it is for a WFH1261 and the price code is N5. Not sure if it is the right one after all.

Re: Indesit D63 dishwaher main pump

It is just possible to change that pump from the back once you have removed the 2 small rear panels under and above the fill valve and drain hose and, so i have heard, a bit of bending of metal!
