the ones I have had were shorted to earth, easy to test and obviously replacement needed, but this one blew the house trip rather than display or other faults.

ModeratorRe: AEG Dish Wiring
looking at the wiring diagram, it does not state the colours, but the connector with 2 wires fits on the last spade while the single wire fits next to the plug. have emailed you the wiring diagram.

ModeratorRe: ISE 10 1606W DISPLAY GOES BLANK
its such a tiny leak the source is difficult to pin point as almost any leak around the drum will collect in the position of the ntc. Cannot remember for sure but my one was dispenser related and no parts were needed to fix….no re call as yet and its been a year or so……

it unclips with its own “cradle” just to the left of the motor, follow the 2 thin black wires. If looks signs of moisture then leak is probably from dispenser. IME it usually earths out when wet and blows the trip.

ModeratorRe: A penny for your thoughts?
Name and shame Martin, meanwhile I will check my invoices.
did recieve a calender from connect today….well gone are the days of recieving 2 calenders from suppliers, 1 for the office or shop with pretty pictures of thatched cottages on and the other which was destined for the workshop or back room which was delivered in a plain brown envelope!
I might be wrong but I dont think I even recieved even a christmas card from any supplier or work provider at all this year….eastlmark
ModeratorRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
slightly OT but I tried to send my last order before xmas on the Monday only to see a message that my account was over the credit limit and could not be sent. This is of course the combination of the previous month (not actually even due until the 30th) + the current month (not even due until the end of Jan). rather than exceeding the limit in a given month.
I have never been late paying them, ever, so I called to see if they could release this order or up my credit limit but was told to do that they would need to send me a form to fill in and return. Needless to say the stuff on that order was for jobs that needed completeing before xmas and the filling in a form routine would ensure I would miss my deadline. I quickly transfered most of the parts to qualtex and got it the next day and made sure they did not get any orders for the rest of the month and yes, paid them by bacs transfer on the usual date.eastlmark
ModeratorRe: Bosch Web Site Down ?
now up and running but some of us do a lot of part looking up and ordering at weekends, would have been nice had they put a message up rather than us trying to search for things and thinking (like I did) I had an incorrect Enr.

ModeratorRe: VAT Rise – Good News?
had a couple of comments over my vat inclusive rate now being £70.80 as opposed to last week when it was £69.33 which drew no comments or intakes of breath.

yes will be the alternating valve, it has a motor and microswitch which is what you can hear. assume the swtich is fut by a leaking seal on the valve. 819130468 is the part number. machine will have to come out to fit and you do not get the 3 o rings with it-re use the old ones. easy job otherwise £150 or so all in should cover it.

ModeratorRe: Removal of freestanding double ovens
just drag it while lifting slightly, as long as the floor goes right under it will be fine.
