    Re: ISE 10

I have had a play with my ISE 10 and there is no maximum level mark in the conditioner dispenser compartment but if you fill it level with the two ridges this is too full and can syphon off the contents when you close the drawer
As for closing the door I go for the firm push but my wife does the gentle slam.

Either way you can’t break it 😉

Not wanting to speak out of turn here…. but due to the cost of spares being so cheap surely its a false investment just changing the bearings on their own. The repair won’t last, so backhalf and shaft has got to be the recommended approach hasn’t it?

    Tim.
I did one of the same myself and fitted the lot.
No need to make the job too difficult is there 😉

    Re: ISE CD60W Tumble Dryer

We have been using the CD60 for about two months and the drying results are as good as the sensor dryer it replaced which was vented.
There is a small increase in humidity in the vicinity of the dryer but this is offset by the benefit of the “free heat” which is put into the house rather than being blown out through the vent.
We set the dryer to come on at about 6.00 am which assists the central heating to warm up the house in the morning.
The water from the tank is recycled into the steam iron too which should prolong it’s life as it is de-calcified.
We just have to decide which of our offspring to leave the washer and dryer to when we expire as they will probably outlive the both of us. 😉

Re: Diplomat ADP8322 dishwasher – re-programming new pcb

ADP8322 is a badged up Whirlpool and the new board should be pre programmed.
If you have been supplied with a “blank” board or indeed the wrong part then it won’t work and you will need the services of an engineer equipped with a Whirlpool SAM module to put the program in.

I have one and so do others on this site who may be able to assist.

I count myself among the very fortunate having had my schrieber kitchen delivered in full three weeks before they went bust.
I got the standard letter from the administrators this morning but I’m not expecting to get a replacement for the scratched cupboard door that was promised.

    😥

    Re: CALGON TV Adverts

I too live in a very hard water area and I have never seen anything like the limescale in these ads in 28 years as an engineer.
That machine must have been used with low grade detergent and severely underdosed to get into that state.
Undoubtably it does what it says on the packet but look at the cost.
If I started to use Calgon in my shiny new ISE 10 I would spend more on Calgon over the 10 year warranty than the machine cost 😯

There are plenty of effective appliance descalers which will clean a scaled up machine up for a tiny fraction of the cost.

    Re: Bloody credit crisis.

I switched mine from Prudential to Norwich Union 2 years ago into a low fee scheme similar to stakeholder and it went up by £12,000 in the first year even though I have stopped making contributions.
I converted to income drawdown in Nov 2007 and took the 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} lump and threw it at the mortgage.
I am not looking forward to this years statement as I too will probably have to put in a few more years 😥

Thankfully she hasn’t heard of the new 7 day cooling off period or you could be conducting the first test case :protest:

There should be a circuit diagram hidden inside the cabinet usually under the control panel. 😉
    Should be easy to follow.

    Good luck

The relay is integral with the start switch and is straight forward to test.
The most likely cause of the symptom described is the TOC inside the motor which will reset itself when the motor cools down.
The four terminal thermostat only controls temperature.
The two smaller terminals are a small heating resistance which makes the thermostat open more frequently when low temp is selected

    Hope this helps.
