Hello, it sounds like you’re on to the cause of the problem here. If the compressor is hot, without any cooling inside the cabinet, then it does point to a system fault.

Another win for the clarets last night leads them 11 points clear of third place, with only 15 left to play for. Could possibly win promotion on Saturday if we beat Middlesbrough and Derby don’t beat Huddersfield.

thanks for that dave. we’ve had a few of those too, but we’ve also had a few where the electronics fail because they’re poor.

A once again depleted Burnley team did well to draw 1-1 away at Watford.
The promotion push is well on track. The clarets are 10 points clear with only 6 games left to play.

i’d call off the engineer’s visit, as it could be wasting his time at this point, ie nothing to look at.
you could tell them that you’ll monitor the situation and contact them again when the fault occurs again.
f3 is freezer air sensor fault as already discussed. moisture can get in to the head of the sensor, disrupting the information that the sensor is sending back to the pcb. turning it off could have allowed the moisture to dry, or allowed the electronics to reset and the appliance looks like it’s ok again.
I’d not put all my faith in it straight away and it may well be worth keeping the engineer’s visit and asking him to replace the sensor.

The switch brings on a heater near the evaporator. This switch has a dual purpose, a low ambient device and also a fast freeze facility.
Warming up the fridge would encourage the motor to switch on, thereby chilling the freezer more.
The law ambient function is more tricky to explain, but a scenario that we face every winter when an appliance is used in a law ambient application.
There’s plenty of info on this site though, if you use the search facility.
The switch on your fridge has 3 positions, off, heater and fan. Ideally, the switch should be in the fan position. That is to say that when the motor is on and the door is closed, the fan will come on.Re: GAS appliance training information wanted

F3 is freezer air sensor. I’ll look online at your appliance, but it will be Monday morning now.

Well it had to happen.
After being unbeaten at home for a year, the clarets were beaten 2-0 by Leicester.
Missing three key players, the task was made even harder after five minutes when Sam Vokes left the pitch with a knee injury.
Leicester capitalised and were worthy winners.
