great win for the clarets tonight.
they were good value, beating bolton 1-0.
it could have been a lot more, with the woodwork coming to bolton’s rescue twice.

probably the pcb mate, especially if the condenser fan and compressor run when you open the fridge door and then cut out when you close it.

    cheers.

Re: Admiral GS2126CEDB/11 Fridge not cooling but freezer is

hi tony, the timer on this model is in the top of the fridge, on the right hand side.
pull the top cover down and the timer is in a box, as i say, top right.
you say you’ve checked the heater?
when cold you should get a reading through the stat and the heater, but when warm the reading should be about 250k ohms, not sure about 6 meg??
in terms of probability, it’s likely that the fault is with the heater/stat assembly and not the timer.

    cheers.

F4 is freezer evap sensor faulty.

the service number you give though is for a chest freezer, model no GTE 2804, not an upright frost free model that you’re giving as the model no.

if it is the upright model, then the sensor you need is the new one, 9590148.

    cheers.

Re: Which “American Style” Fridge freezer?

i wouldn’t get too excited about any of the above brands really den.

what i would do if i was you, is look for an admiral american f/f.

ideally what you want is an old stock model, made by admiral (maytag) and not whirlpool, as they later were.

i’m sure if you searched hard enough, you’d find a retailer that had one of these knocking about, so to speak.

hth, but the above brands are as you say ‘american style’ why not go for the real thing, instead of a big box that looks the same?

make sure it’s admiral made though!
you should get one for just above the money you’re talking about.
    definitely worth stretching the budget.

    Re: ge american psg27nhsacbb

hi chris, no real common faults on these apart from the ones listed above.
you’ll need to check that the fan is not being impeded by the housing, short of that, it’s just a matter of checking it out.

    cheers.

    Re: maytag fridge fault

i think we’re over complicating this one guys.
this appliance is a slightly older one from memory.
it will have a mechanical defrost timer which will be in the defrost position, hence when powered up it will trip and with the heater taken out of circuit it won’t run.
replace the heater and you should be ok.
the timer will be in the top of the fridge compartment on the right hand side.

    cheers.
