Hi Alex, is the fan running? Those temperatures are what you would expect if the fan wasn’t running.
Cheers.

ParticipantRe: Liebherr Fridge Freezer Temperature Problems
Hello, glad to have been of help.
A couple of things concern me re your last post though.
Firstly, defrosting for 24 hours may not be enough. We’d always defrost the appliance ourselves and make sure it was working perfectly before leaving. Advising you to defrost is a bit of a cop out to be honest.
Secondly, the appliance isn’t designed to cope with the amount of water that will present itself now after defrosting. You’ll have to watch out for that and a tip would be to put a towel or cloth into the pot that sits on top of the compressor and leave the other end in a bowl. Otherwise, the pot will possibly overflow and potentially cause damage to your flooring, or even the appliance itself.Cheers.

ParticipantRe: Liebherr Fridge Freezer Temperature Problems
hello, before you go down the sensor route, it’s worth checking the drain hole in the freezer – that’s more likely to be your problem.
a blocked drain hole would see the water that is the product of the regular defrosting cycle of the freezer, not drain away and therefore in due process become ice.
this ice would build up over a short period of time and eventually block the airflow through the evaporator that the freezer depends on for it’s cooling.
the freezer would take precedence over the fridge in this case and so the electronics in the appliance would be telling it that it wasn’t cold enough in the freezer and so the fridge compartment wouldn’t be receiving refrigerant via the diverter valve.
this is the more likely scenario.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr CBNes 5067: how to replace defrost heater?
Alex, that looks ok to me. just a matter of unclipping the heater and any connections and then refitting.
don’t worry about the odd bent fin, if you can straighten them, great.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr CBNes 5067: how to replace defrost heater?
Hi Alex, it does indeed sound like you’ve metered the fuse and it sounds like the heater is at fault then 😆
You’ll need to unclip the front cover of the evaporator to expose the heater. The cover is held on by clips halfway up the back of the evaporator about 10mm in from either edge. If you get your fingers round the back of it you’ll find the clips.
Be careful bending and flexing the evaporator as you could disturb the lokring joints connecting the pipe work.Cheers.

ParticipantRe: Liebherr CBNes 5067: how to replace defrost heater?
Hi Alex, you really need to be measuring the fuse without the heater in circuit. It’s always more likely to be the fuse than the heater. Of course the heater could be at fault, but without looking at the appliance, I can only talk in terms of probability.
Cheers.

ParticipantRe: Liebherr CBNes 5067: how to replace defrost heater?
Hello Alex, is it the defrost heater that is open circuit, or the thermal fuse?
The fuse is the little black piece at the front with the red and blue wires and it’s likely to be that at fault rather than the heater.Hope this helps.

ParticipantRe: Liebherr 2566 Freezer
hello ian, sorry for late replay but to address your points, the icemaker tray comes as part of a kit.
the reason for this is that the tray fits into its housing and the motor turns the tray during the harvesting process.
the tray turns against a plastic stop inside the housing. the motor continues to turn, causing the tray to flex and the cubes to drop out of the tray.
the position of the stop inside the housing has been changed so it’s important that the unit is changed as a whole.
if you get the icemaker off, turn it upside down and remove the T15 screw from the right hand side.
then press down the clip just behind the front box of the icemaker and gently pull the motor assembly out.
this should be fairly easy to do.
hope this helps mate.

ParticipantRe: Football Season 2014/2015
yes, the season fizzled out as did our premier league aspirations.
we missed out by 5 points and looking over the season, it’s so easy to see where those 5 points could have come from.
sadly, the people in charge don’t seem to have the same ambition or talent as our young manager, who will undoubtedly go on to bigger and better things.
not to worry, back to the hurly burly of Saturday/Tuesday in the championship.
I had a sneaking feeling that Mrs B would renege on her deal! do you want me to send the boys round Jim? I know people 😆ELDAR59

ParticipantRe: Liebherr IKB3454 SERVICE NO 9985260-05
hello mate, I’d check the door closure first. check that the cupboard door is closing and maybe take it off and check that the fridge door is closing all the way round – ie that the seal is meeting.
failing that, then it’s likely to be the evaporator sensor, maybe the bio fresh sensor too, to be certain.
the evap one is obviously against the back wall and the bio fresh is the lowest of the sensors.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Remove backpanel liebherr fridge
hello, sorry for the delay in replying. yours is an integrated fridge with an icebox in the top.
sensor change on this is fairly easy, although the unit will have to come out for the sensor change.
the head of the sensor is housed behind the small plastic cover situated against the evaporator, on the right hand side.
the top of the cover should just clip off, exposing the sensor.
if you’re hesitant about taking it off, then remove the light fitting assembly first – this should make taking the sensor cover off a little easier.
part number you need is 9590142.cheers.
