    Re: Climate Class and Freezers

sometimes, the anti condensation line, the foamed in condenser that you refer to, can work in the opposite way if the freezer is in a cold location.

this anti condensation line warms the body of the fridge up to prevent condensation occurring when the unit is placed in an ambient within the parameters of it’s particular climate class.

if the ambient is cold then the cold air meets with the warm spot on the cabinet and condensation results.

this condensation wouldn’t be the one that liebherr refer to and if you were to buy a unit that wasn’t electronically controlled, i couldn’t see a problem in siting it in a garage.

placing a chest freezer on a pallet or wooden block would be a good idea.

    Re: NECHT Appliances

in all fairness, the cupboard doors used by this firm are of excellent quality.
if you could design your own kitchen, buy cupboard carcasses from somewhere like b&q, source your own appliances (shouldn’t be too hard on here 😉 ) and then use their doors, you shouldn’t go far wrong.

do they operate a cash and carry policy? if so that could be the answer.

    cheers.

    Re: Liebherr fridge problem

    hello warm cheese.

    try this number, 0870 898 5050

    or email, info@liebherrinfo.co.uk

it sounds like you need an engineer tbh, you say you selected the super cool, well that should override the thermostat, maybe you have a system fault.
an engineer should be able to diffrentiate between a thermostat fault and a system fault.

you could try the contacts above, or alternatively, try the repairs@ feature on this site.

    Re: Liebherr Fridge Freezer problems

hello pea-eye, sorry this hasn’t been picked up before now.

is the fan working in the freezer section?

if the fan is working, then the evaporator is probably blocked up, possibly from the drain hole blocking.

a quick fix (although this won’t cure the problem) would be to turn the unit off for a while, allowing the freezer evaporator to defrost.

    Re: LG WD1253FHB error DE

hi dave, have you checked the door assembly?
the latch pin can come adrift at one side so you don’t get a good contact between the latch/catch and the interlock.
if that’s ok and you’ve changed the interlock, then it will be the module.
    cheers.

Re: The least noisy Frost Free fidge/freezers?

you’re always likely to get more noise from a frost free fridge freezer, as ken says, because of the extra components.
also, when the compressor is idle, the evaporator fan could still be on, leaving you to think that the unit is running longer than normal.
this is a common complaint from first time frost free users.
that said, in my experience, the liebherr range is fairly quiet.
also, there should be a decibel level on the energy rating sheet that you could look at before purchasing any fridge.

    Re: Query Compressor Failure

if you’re metering the compressor, you’ll get 3 possible readings between the 3 pins.
the lowest reading would be that of the run windings, the middle one is the reading of the start windings and the highest is the sum of the first two.

this may not tell you too much as the compressor could be physically jammed.

in terms of probability, this fault is more than likely the compressor, trying another toc would verify this.

very very occasionally, it may be the toc which is faulty.
