there are 2 elements in one so one may have failed leaving you with half heat

Re: Beko DRCS76W element not heating

3 points I can think of

1 unless you select a timed programme some dryer wont heat and some wont heat on the timed prog either. machine will be looking for dampness (energy saving )

2 you say only 2 element were working. I assume from that you tried it with the back off. you cant rely on that test as the elements only glow due to lack of airflow and the top elements will glow hotter

3 its the relays on the board that switch the elements on and they can fail

there is a fuse on the control module

did the brushes seem worn ?

if no prob the reversing relay its a common fault which also blows the fuse .
fuse is a small red or black cylinder approx 1cm high soldered into the board

Re: Beko DRCS68W – replaced heater new one cuts out?

the cutout is detecting high temperatures above the heater. if you are getting this there is only a couple of reasons

1 air flow The airflow across the heater is restricted causing overheat

2 element control where the element is not turned off as the heat rises in the dryer. this can be caused by the front thermistor or the main pcb. either way you would feel the excessive heat inside the drum

the white plastic but you can see has a “U” shape that grabs the loop on the frame. all you have to do is get soething in the “U” and pull it ( down in the above picture)

otherwise strip it out and roll the latch back into position

its not broken its just in the locked position

Re: New world DW60 stopped working

switch needs to be pulled forward again i use a peice of old wire coat hanger with a 10mm “L” shape at the end. hook it into the “U” of the latch and pull it forward

if the heater is over heating so

1 are you operating it with the back on ?

2 have you checked and cleaned the condensor ie can you see light all through it

both the controlling thermostats on the unit are thermistors that can be checked by a multimeter
