Re: Hotpoint BHWD129 won’t drain even with a new pump

difficult to diagnose these sort of faults from afar but from what you describe it sounds like a board fault.
if it was a pump or blockage, when you selected drain the pump would try to run for a while before aborting. the fact it only runs for approx 1 sec it cant be much else.
there is one long shot. the heaters on modern machines can sometimes upset the electronics. disconnect the heater (secure wires safely) and see if it improves

    Re: bosch reset procedure

    the common one is

turn programmer knob to 6 o clock
push and hold spin speed button
turn prog knob 1 click clockwise
    release spin speed button
turn off wait 5 secs and try

sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries

    get it all the time
“but i can get it on Ebay for £x”

my answer has always been they have no overheads and with me you can have it now

The internet has it plus and minus side. I always erase or remove all part numbers from any spares I fit these days. makes it more difficult for customers to type part No in google and then come back on the bounce

They also dont realise the guarentee part of things. If I supply the part i am expected to guarentee the part. If it goes faulty i then have to replace at my own expense.
If they supply the part and pay me to fit. If it goes faulty they will have to pay for me to fit it again as i have no part in the guarentee

the fault could also be the pressure switch as the Heater circuit goes through the switch to make sure the heater is turned off if the drum is empty
switch is small unit at back of the soap draw

Re: Whirlpool AWM043 pump running constantly

most likely the main board is faulty.

most boards you switches called Triacs to control small electrical items like valves and pumps. in your case the pump one has probably failed. To replace it you would have to understand electronics and be able to solder small components
whirlpools answer would be to change the board but some of the engineers on here may be able to repair it
alternativeley there are 2 firms who may be able to check and repair it

    http://www.emwelec.co.uk/
    or
    http://www.qer.biz/servReps.htm

alternative fault include. earth faults ( if you have a trip on your electric supply then it wont be this )
    Damaged wiring

    Re: Nardi FEO 613 Oven

diagnosing at a distance is difficult at best but faults could be as follows

1 thermostat you would have to bridge it or test with a multimeter to be certain

2 selector switch most ovens have a multibank switch that selects grill or oven and the contacts burn out

3 light faulty so element is causing the fault (less likely but cant be ruled out

if there is no light or power what so ever then got to be pcb

it may be the power supply chips on the pcb and some can be repaired
