before removing clutch check the following

1 remove outer case ( support rear of machine against a wall or something )
2 short out safety switch on lid
3 set machine to spin and turn on
4 with a torch look at clutch on top of gearbox. if the clutch outer is turning then can only be clutch wear, oil contamination or stiff main drum
5 switch off machine and isolate check for oil around clutch area

all other checks need gaerbox out but it comes out in less than 10 mins

    hope it helps

Re: AEG T96699IH Error code help

if you do a google search E90 this fault on the washing machines seems to be a board communication error. it is likely but not certain to be the same. from the posts i have read dampness seems to be the cause as people have used hairdryers to fix the problem

    I searched “aeg fault e90”

its a long shot unless anyone else with lux online access can get you the workshop manual

there is a spin clutch above the gearbox ( 481969018152). drop box out ( very easy)from underneath leaving tub in place
    )

look at cluch for waer or oil contamination. if its worn it will be down to rivets. if its got oil on it the box is letting out oil and you may have to replace box as well

    bit like

    remove control panel

    remove filter

    remove top screws

remove 2 hidden screws in door hinge ( bit of a begger to get at )

front lifts about half an inch and comes off ( can be a bit akward to get it to move )

after front off there is a plug and fron comes off with door lock still attached

    take the front off

have stripped a few of these as they tend to jam as they get older so need to be cleaned and lubricated

its a mechanical lock operated by a solenoid so they don tend to blow up just jam

motor triac is on the pcb

most washing machine boards use them to contol motors you will find them on the heatsink. this should be the same
as for the fault code this is the consumer code to see actual code you will need to go into engineering mode not sure how to do it on T Dryers but maybe some kind person will enlighten us both

    no more ideas
you are on the right track i find that it can be a swine to get it to reset
from what you are saying this machine had carbons a few weeks ago. do you know why it has gone into fault mode this time

try the reset again. i find playing around when you release the spin button eventually pays dividends. you know when you have got it the start light starts to flash.

if you are still having problems pm Nomad he seem to be the bosch guru

had a bosch doing this the other week and fault was

fluff fiter broken that allowed the fluff to build up on the heater causing overheat

cant understand why there was no smell of burning but was no probs after clean and replace filter

dont like to point out the obvious but the light is on the dishwasher so it is not a power problem so wont be affected by your oven problem

    Re: Hoover A3594 door boot

wow we are dragging them up now

only mention of this model is in the 1989 book

does not seem to mention this in the model main pages but boot should be

    674633 old part number

    09024571 new part number

decribed as “tub shell gasket R/Door grey”

there are 2 boots fitted on this hoover range one for square doors and one for round but it is not a fast rule

the difference between the rubbers is the door glass is smaller on some machines so make sure this rubber will seal to the glass before you fit it

    hope it helps
