    Re: HOTPOINT WASHING MACHINE

    dont question when 2 people say the same thing its like asking the audience you got a majority vote now 3 of us are saying check the brushes

    a lot of machines check things before they start some hotpoint and indesit wont Start unless motor has circuit through armature some whirlpools wont start if the heater goes down

    so the moral of the story is if it wont start look for simple things first

    Dave

    ps the brushes are only the most likely fault there are other causes

    Re: Whirlpool 3RLSQ8000JQ

    spring you describe clips onto frame at rear of machine

    look vertically down from left hand of braket on drum and you will see a hole drilled in chassis

    all friction plates are greased so drum can move the only things holding it in place are the three short springs to the 3 tub holding brackets

    hope this helps

    Re: SMEG FME 24X Microwave

    on most microwaves the centre switch is a safety device that creates a short circuit if the top micro sticks closed
    can be caused by grease or switch failure

    if top switch engages before middle switch has switched then it causes a short circuit and blows the fuse
    ie if you open door top switch is slow to react due to grease middle switch closes and pop fuse blows

    hope this helps

    Re: AEG Lavatherm T57830 Capacitors?

    if drum goes with a push then it is likely capacitor has gone

    manual lists a 6uF capacitor which will be mounted by ther main motor

    tumble dryers never use brush motors

    dont forget to unplug appliance before removing covers

    Re: Zanussi Washer Dryer WJD1257w 91460141500

    the codes you are looking for is any code beginning 1 ie 10 11 12

    e11 problem water fill wash
    e12 problem water fill dry

    all the customer will see is e10 unless you go into diagnostics

    so yes open circuit valve will give you e10 fault

    all e4 faults are to do with the door not locking properly

    can send you info if you let me have your email

    typed model number into google

    and the fifth listing mentions Haier spares and this model

    if so Kwatt wrote

    Haier made dishwashers, six LED models.

    F = Flashing
    X = Off

    E1 = F F F F F F = The door switch is faulty

    E2 = F F X X X X = No fill error

    E3 = X F F F X X = No drain error

    E4 = F F X F X X = Temp sensor

    E5 = F F F X X X = Overfill/flooding

    cnat see your code but you could search for more

    according to diags

    heater is fed neutral through pcb but gets its live from pressure switch
    what you need to know is which one is failing

    got the workshop manual if you want need an email to send it
