The sensor seems to be an optical
you can remove the sensor , block the light between the light and sensor and see if the light goes out

we have to try and find if the fault is

    1 sensor
    2 board
    3 wiring
4 the float in the softner has stuck

also model no contains 2 more numbers after /

    no

changing the probe alone should be ok

but if it ends up as a board fault then all new boards are blank

got a hit on a different model and it says temp probe or main board

did see if it had a resitance value but no

try to see if its open circuit that would point to it bsing the probe as the board would need programming if that was the fault

also if you get it going a lot of these units do a self test procedure when you turn on the fan oven. when turned to fan oven the grill element is turned on and off in short bursts. only when the board detects a rise in temp does the main fan and element come on. it also means it wont start with the door off
fooled me completly the first one i got

its odd because it could not blow your trip previously if the heater was not activated

check the board for damage or bad solder joints in the heater circuit

in that case its not a water fault

from memory if its a steady light its water or drain

if its flashing it can be anything else

check the owners manual to confirm
