check the pressure chamber. feeds air pressure to a pressure sensor on the board through a small rubber pipe
if it blocks the machine cant measure water height

does sound like you may have a board problem as if the mag was faulty the board would work normally until you pressed start

well the water has to heat up so things will dry so motor has to be running during the heating phase. Once its heated the pump does not play any part in the drying process as its down to the rinse aid and heat

take out the filter inside
look in the sump well and there is a small float in a tube. you can touch it and move it. if its got gummed up it may be causing the problemDave
in that case talk to your credit card company and see if they can help
they normally insure purchases and have to by law as far as i know

this is a hard one. initially when i read the way you described it it did sound like a mechanical timer fault but when i looked it up i found its an electronic timer so when you said “you have to manually move the timer to the end of program to get it to stop” what you actually mean is you turn the machine off
the is no obvious answer i can think of that could cause this in a dishwasher

intermittant faults are hard to find and thats your biggest problem
I think if it was me i would start by replacing the motor tacho coil. this is not a part electrolux supply but the coil off a beko washing machine fits ok. this coil detects to see if the motor is turning and wont turn on the heater unless it does. its a common no heat failure if the element is ok
