Thanks for everyone who got back to me about this enquiry especially all you Siemens engineers out there (yes you know who I am talking about) after some digging I finally found the solution
1.Turn off the machine (dial to 0)
    2.Open the door
3.Turn on the machine on first program
    4.Close the door
    5.Turn off the machine
6.Turn on the machine on the “six-o-clock” program, which is centrifuge
7.Press the “option down” button and keep it pressed (This is the button left of the display)
8.Turn the dial to “seven-o-clock” (empty/pump out program)
    9.Release the “option down” button
    10.Turn of the machine.

    wak machines

from off press and hold start turn knob ONE “not two” clicks left after about 10 seconds an odd display shows, turn off all now seems ok.

    wab machines
    1) Close the door (The following operational sequence must take place after switching on the appliance)
    2) Set program selector to OFF position
    Wait for at least 2s
    3) Set program selector switch to position 15 while the Start/Pause button is pressed until display is active
    4) Release Start/Pause button
All remanent errors will be reset

well its telling you to link the contacts or remove the link to do the test

so on the low test is telling you to link out the contact to earth to check wire continuity

do you want to double check that serial

Rangemaster use the first 4 digits as a model ident and yours is not recognised

    got them

    see what you mean now

    when you say
“The B3-1 Low resistance test still reads fault.!!.”

is this in the test programme

if yes maybe you have to short out the sensor to the drum to check its being detected. get the same thin in a Beko test prog where you have to touch the sensor to prove its working

    – Beko Heat Pump tumble drier bought used 1 week ago
    – Lamp module is somehow unhappy – interior light flashes constantly
    – Moisture sensor is not working (stops after 10 min) – bars don’t seem to be powered up (have shorted to no effect and cannot measure any V or A)

    Questions I have are:

    1) Can lamp unit failures cause the moisture sensor to be disabled? (long shot!)
    2) What measurements should I get from a “working” moisture sensor (volts, amps, whatever) and has anyone successfully repaired just that part of the circuit by replacing device(s) on the PCB? (this is a well used drier, I’m not trusting it to be worth the expense of a new PCB at the moment)
    3) (out of interest) why is there a smart lamp module anyway as opposed to a simple lamp on a door switch…

    Thanks in advance!!

lamp failure will msot likely be led driver problem and wont affect machine

you will not get anything from the moisture sensors

as for the smart lamp module or why its smart, no idea

looking at pictures of the board, the sensor section seems to have a seperate power supply which may have failed

in dryers only they split the drum electrically and detect dryness. they cant do that with washer dryer as far as i know so the carbon brush may only be for static

there should be a couple of sensors one as the air enters the tub the other as it exits. they use these to detect moisure content

I am guessing a bit because Miele wont share tech info

all you can do is put it in test mode

get it to where the compressor starts

then feel the evaporator which can be accessed through the front hatch. find a bit of cardboard to deflect the air flow and see if the eveporator surface starts to get cold

if it doesnt its dead ot at least beyond economical repair
