Moderatorthe buzzing noise is normally a pump problem where the pump armature is travelling too far too fast. its normally associated with air in the unit or low water level. it can be caused by faulty or blocked pump valves.
but your saying it pumps ok so am a bit lost as to why its doing itDave

miele part breakdowns no problem but tech as you say is non existant

if you have a valve in the pump jammed through scale or a stuck pressure relief valve it would give your symptoms

I lose the odd one but wont let it go back that far and keep working for them
see what they say on the phone and you have to say cash up front while the account is that far in arrears
also hope your upping the charges to pay for the risk etc . make sure you add at least £10 to cover invoice charges and waiting fot money
