    Re: beko dishwasher D3422FW

Does it blow the fuse or tripa at the onsumer unit?

And at what stage, and when it blows, if you open the dishasher door, is it heating up the water?

It could be a faulty element, motor etc

    Hi Brian

With this model, you can take the carbon brushes without opening the whole motor.

But you have to check if it is FHP or siemens motor.

Part no for FHP Carbon Brush 173028, for siemens 154740.

    Is the door closing properly?

Check for the fridge door seal.If air gets into the fridge then it ill give you all sorts of problems including ice in the fridge and not cooling properly.

Also if you put a fridge thermometer in to see exactly what temp is it running at?

    Hi John

Their labour charge is around £90.The part will be free.So I think it is well worth it. That model is expensive to buy.

May be have it checked before Hotpoint. It maybe simple case of loose wire.

    Hi Nina,

It is more likley to be an oven element. The elements in electric oven sometimes go after a while.

If you give the PNC number and then we will be able to source if for you.

To be honest the belts do not stretch over a time. It may be something stuck inside the drum like socks or something.

Can you turn the drum with your hand with the machine off?

And if it turns then do you still hear abnormal noise?

Either the heating element is gone or the heat sensor is not working.

Hard to say without a model number. But I have seen the heating elements go on these dishwashers.

Can you see the element when you open the dishwasher door at the bottom? If not then it is conceled and of round type.

    Let us know

    Hi Chris,

I just checked the connections website. They do not have any spare parts apart from the salt cap and instruction manual.

They only have refrigeration section in the mediator.

It could simply be loose wires or dry joints or fauly display board.

It is hard to tell without having a look at it.
It is not an old model so is it not under warranty. If not then it will still have parts warranty(5years).

Please disconnect the machine from power supply if investigating.

Well nine years is not bad for a machine.
If you rubb the finger on the gasket does it make granules or does it come off?

    Re: Indesit WIE 1575 problem

    Hi Lisa,

I am afraid that it sounds like a motor problem. If it tries to turn the other way and it cannot then it will take more current and eventually it will trip or blow the fuse.

Your model may carry five years parts warranty. So the cheapest option may be to phone Indesit up and find out.You will only have to pay for their labour as the motor will be free(motor cost around £100).

Let us know if you need more info.

If it is the door gasket, is that somthing that I am likely to be able to replace myself

I am afraid changing gaskets on the Zanussi Washer dryer or even the washers is not easy. You normally have to take the whole drum out to put the gasket in.

If it is just the gasket you having problems with then the gasket is not expensive. Engineers may charge £45-£65 in labour. so in total it may be around £80 to £90.

If you want to order the part then have a look in spares section or email Dave you can get the part. For the engineer look in the repairs section to find.

Re: Zanussi washer-dryer turns off mid-program

    Hi Saul,

When you say mid cycle what do you mean. Can you check if this occurs when the mahcine does a spin or drains the water out or goes to the rinse.

It may well be the case that some components cause it to swith off.

It is hard to say without checking it out.
