    Re: Hotpoint WD860 error codes

F05 on a Hotpoint means problem with the pressure switch that senses the water in the drum.
Drain pump may still be blocked or the pressure switch is not getting the air so the pipes may be blocked.

But please switch the appliance off before investigating.
If unsue then check the Repairs Section to see a local engineer in your area.

Re: Beko FN240 – Light works, but that’s it.

The purpose of the thermostat is to start and stop the compressor.
So if it is not working then nothing will cool.

Make sure you try to listen to the clicking noise. That basically is compressor trying to start but it cannot. It is not unusual for the beko compressors to go after a time(they use cheap compressors).

If you are unsure best to have it checked for the sake of a call out.

Are you sure you got the right model no?
WD860 is a Hotpoint Washer Dryer.I think it is Hotpoint.

Can you double check it please?

Re: Does this forum cover microwaves?

Just to point out that the microwaves are so cheap(£25) now a days, hardly anyone repairs the microwave(apart from the fuse I suppose).

As for the expensive microwaves such as Neff,Bosch parts are so expensive that no one goes ahed with the repair.

And as Greg quite rightly pointed out that it is too dangerous to work with.Even with the microwave off it has a lots of voltage in it unless it is properly discharged.

Did you check the backside or the bottom(by opening the oven door)of the cooker?

There may be some info there.Without the model or having a look not much cannot be done I am affraid.

    Only two things.
Either the thermostat or the compressor itself.
Can you hear compressor clicking if you listen carefully. If it does(probably every 1-2minutes not continious)) then most likley it is gone.
But why not have it checked. If it is the thermostat then it is not expensive to repair.

    Let us know

Re: Bosch WF02865GB washing machine not spinning

Luk that is the only problem with the Bosch,Neff,Siemens appliances.
They are very good quality but if they go wrong then the parts are quite expensive
As Chris rightly pointed out that the motor cost around £160.Then you are looking at the labour charges.
Best if you can get a second hand motor(if you can find that is).

Re: Problem with Hotpoint Super Plus 7822

WOW 16 years!! I am afraid they do not make such appliances now a days to last that long.
When you say switch on I guess it does not start but the power is still comming??
It could be few things.Firstly the door switch could be faulty or the timer.

Best to have it checked i suppose.Check the repairs section to see if there is someone local to you.

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43A12GB / 27 Not draining

Well first of all please switch the dishwasher off before doing anything.

Do you hear the drain pump running? The drain/waste pipe that connects to the waste trap of the sink is not blocked?
Take the pipe off and put it in a bucket and then run to see if the water comes out on drain. If not then either something in the drain pump is blocked or it is faulty.

    Hi Liz,

You would need a domestic appliance engineer as oppose to an eletrciain or a plumber.
It could be an element, it could be other things as well.
Best to have it checked for sake of a call out to get the expert opinion.

Check te UKW Repairs section to locate an engineer in the area.

Well first of all how old is it? Is it M4306?
where do you live, see the repairs section to see if you have a local engineer. It is worth someone having look for sake of a call out(£20ish)
If it is the heat sensor it will not be that expensive but the timer on its on cost around £70.

    I agree with Helo completley.
It is not wise to test with the machine live.If you ever had to test the heater element check the resistance with the power disconnected.
And the service manuals are only for the engineers in the field so you will not find it on the internet.

    Re: problem with Servis 4306s

well sometimes when the heat sensor does not sense the right temerpature it may stick.
What about the rinse aid?Sometimes that will give you the trouble.

The only other thing could be is the timer itself.

Re: Is this Fagor oven a bargain?

I agree with Don.It may have more functions than Neff(for that price). But it is the service that fagor cannot beat Neff.

People Had trouble getting the engineers down.Same goes for the spare parts.

    Re: problem with Servis 4306s

Does it heat or drain out the water properly?

Also is the timer mechanical or digital?
