Zonealarm do have some issues with the security and their firewall is not the strongest either.

I would prefer Mcafee over Norton, it is much better and secure
The other software I use is Systemsuite. That is good as well

    Re: Contractor Agreement

Well I have recieved terms & conditions from a letting agent that I have to sign.

One of the point is that the agent keeps £200 uphand from the landlord and then they pay for any work that is done by the contractor.

If they do not have the amount, they ask the landord to pay for it first.

What the agent is saying then in case the landlord does not want to pay for the job and he is abroad or up north somewhere and then you have to chase it up.Usually the work is not expensive for the appliances to go throught bailifs etc and also will the agent release the details of the landlord in case he does not pay??

I would say agent is upto something.reason is that they can always deduct the money owed to the contractor from the rent that is comming in.They also need their {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} commision.Agent should be responsible because he is ordering the work

The yellow bit actually connects to a connector with dfifrent connectors on front right top side of the bottom freezer.

Re: Margherita knob has mind of his own

The knobs on these washing machine turn around when there is a fault with the machine, not the timer itself.

IT could be as simple as pump/drain related or as worse as the main PCB gone.

better to have it checked.Look at the repairs section to find approved engineer.

Well changed the motor, same problem. Changed the harness and temporarly connected to the motor, test the washer 4 times and it was ok.

s soon as I opened the machine and put the harness in,thought test it again and the same problem i.e. the wash, rinse and spin lights constantly on.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Good idea to read the following article;

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=108

I had to repair one of these last week.

It is better to switch the appliance off for 24hours and then switch it back on.Sometimes the fan gets stuck from ice and will make rattling noise. If that does not work properly, yor fridge part will not cool.

If you do that then let us know what happens?

Re: Repair or Replace Neff V4380 washer/dryer…

Just to let you know that the new neff V5340 model gave me lots of headache. The design is same as a new smeg or whirlpool W/d.

I had a lot of complaints regarding the W/Ds that was shaking a lot, even the neff engineer was unable to repair it.

But good things is that they give you 2 years warranty.

I am not sure if they have sorted this problem out,Maybe other engineers have better experience of these but not for me.

Lastly was that a reliable engineer that you called?
Reason; some of these W/Ds, the carbon brushes went and was giving a lot of headache.

I had to change couple of these seals. You will probably have to change the door bottom seal.

But still check the dispensar area to be sure
By putting the old one back it came out after a while so I had to change the whole seal and it is not expensive.

Re: Fridge Thermostat for Scandinova 7054 Fridge/freezer

Do you mean fridge and freezer have seperate thermostat?

Is it cooling properly, becuase if it is not cooling the thermostat will not click.

The thermostat will have a K?? no like K59, K50 etc etc on the side

Find that out and let us know

    Re: Tecnik TKR6610-1

    Hi Steve,

Better to have it checked. It may just be the thermostat which is not expensive to repair.

But in worst case, compressors are not cheap. The cost would be £120-£150 for new compressor and labour(depending on the area)

Check under repairs section to find a local engineer.Worth paying call out to have it checked in my opinion

    Hi,

Can you hear any clicking noise when you switch the f/f on every couple or so minutes?

Has it got a mechanical thermostat or is it digital?

If you cannot hear the compressor running at all then could be thermostat or the compressor related problem

You can have alook at the repairs section to see a local approved engineer

    Read the following article, you will find it very usefull;

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=108

It could be ice built up in the freezer so you may have to switch it off for few hours and let the ice in the freezer compart(you may not see the ice).

    Let us know what happens
